  1. That's makes for a total of 4 pieces of gear. They backed up the biner on the blot with a draw and another biner. Isn't that redundant enough???
  2. My partners steal my gear all the time and I don't give a shit.
  3. Or, you could get dumped by your girlfriend and free solo the pitch, a la Pipeline.

  7. Looking for a partner for Index tomorrow. I'd like to cruise some easy stuff in the sun. I live in Bellingham, have wheels, rope, rack, mad skillz, and a charming persona. Perhaps you'd care to join me? PM, or 360 738 0369, or justinthibault at yahoo . com

    Semantics

What is the average donation to the Obama campaign? $10? Perhaps it's a good idea that a president is "obligated to private donors" if there are 200 million of them.
  12. I'm looking to go cragging at Index and/or Squamish this Wednesday (tomorrow) and/or Thursday and I need a partner for either or both days. If you're available and interested, send a PM or give me a call at 360 738 0369 . If you have a job, you should quit it, and if you're in jail, BREAK OUT!! -Justin

  17. I have the summer off and I'm looking for partners for rock or Alpine goodness. Squish, Index, Erie, Der Murder Horne, whatever, just looking to get out. I live in Bellingham and I've done a bunch of stuff over the years, but I've had a slow year climbing and I'm eager to get back at it. PM or email justinthibault @ yahoo . com and we can compare ticklists. -J
  18. A climber has been killed by falling rock on the south side of Mount Baker. The accident occurred on Friday night at approx. 5600' and recovery efforts are still under way this morning. I'd rather not relate the full story, which I learned this morning from a BMRC member who was on-site yesterday, but suffice it to say that the rock in the area is inherently unstable and suspect. This person just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and suffered an unfortunate accident. LINK

    A Riddle

I too cherish my well used pans, but you can wash them with water. Just don't use any soap, and give them a light rub with olive oil before you put them away, especially your wok.
  21. I start with: "Hi! How are you?" then: "Can I make a suggestion?" I think shit loads of people do dumb things and then refuse help or advice out of embarrassment. Guys are the worst, they'd rather die than admit that they are wrong or made a mistake. Sadly, they sometimes take their wives/friends/dogs along for the dirt nap.
  22. The Author's remote cabin:
  23. Perhaps "free camping" has come to mean "place to get drunk, act like a bunch of fucking idiot NYC human rats, and leave trash all over the place". I'd love to see some pics of your awesome free campsite, I'm sure it would make an Indian cry, the way the city sub-humans have typically treated the woods out there.
