Great job! Fantastic photos. -
^ A friend of mine has one... he is out of the country. Let email him and see if I can dig it out for you. I'll PM you if I can get it.

RIP Dan. You will be missed.

A good alternative to the Jannu is the Big Agnes String Ridge 2. It might not be quite the same quality as the Hillie, but it is a nice tent.

I love the original version... I will be picking this up soon. thanks for the link

I love my atom LT hoody. Perfect weight/warmth for active pursuits. As Dane said, a fleece would not fit well under it... I wear my r1 hoody and it is fantastic. Knowing arcteryx, they will "improve" this in a few seasons and mess it all up.

Bad experience at Feathered Friends
zeroforhire replied to rocketparrotlet's topic in Local Gear Shops
Fwiw... I, and friends I have sent to feathered friends have received nothing but fantastic customer service. It is refreshing to see a company that actually cares about the community they cater to. Obviously no one is perfect, and mistakes are made, but as a whole, I have found feathered friends to be a great resource to our community. -
This is starting to look like a tgr thread. I too would like to have some answers from climb x. Just being from the pnw isn't enough for me to trust my life with them.

PUBLIC MEETING WEDS 2/2/11: RAINIER CLIMBING FEES
zeroforhire replied to MarmotMountain's topic in Climber's Board
Please post and let us know how it goes. I can't make it, but sent some emails and made a few calls. -
I know there used to be a ski area up there, back in the day... but I was wondering if anyone has skied it recently? Any beta or input you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Nice! Dane is the man. Can't wait to see these tools in use!

I usually say go for eVent whenever you can.... but with the prices you can get the mercury mitt for; you really should consider it. I love my mercury mitt... I have used it for a lot of stuff here in the pacific northwest... it is a great mitt.

+1 to laytons question. All the UL guys love cuben, can you educate us a bit? Both ccw and cilo make great packs. Cilo has always been great for me.

wow. so sad to hear this. Rest in peace. My heart goes out to those who loved him most. A sad day indeed.

^ Thanks for the update.

Thanks for cleaning that up.

RIP Monty. This is a tragic loss.

Nice pic. Thanks for the update.

bring a waterproof shell... just get a cheap marmot precip or something. You most likely won't NEED it, but if it gets really nasty, it is a good thing to have. Other than that, that looks like a nice setup.

Eldo still has tons of snow. I would still be wary of the avalanche possibility. Go find some rock.

The record set by mugs stump still stands... nice. Way to get after it Colin and Bjorn!

My thoughts and prayers go to the climbers family and friends. Rest in peace.

yikes... just checked back in on this thread after being away awhile... lots of hate being spewed about, and most of it is uninformed. I will continue to buy from BD until I find another manufacturer I like better. Simple as that. I have had great experiences with most of their products over the years, and will definitely be watching them closely as they make this transition. carry on...
