  1. - had that thing wrapped up anyway....
  2. sticky buns?
  3. steaksauce?
  4. I heard about those. Beckey tagged them already... OK, OK, I'm full of shite. Where, however, did you come up with the definition of a "real" peak as being a ">400 foot prominence"? I'm not challenging you, just wonder where that definition came from....
  5. Yum, I just made up a big batch of the Moose Goo stuff for this weekend. Tasty.
  6. Well, then. Sorry you missed out on the sale. Good luck selling them at that price... There are a glut of them that were sold for $105.
  7. I think you're talking about Harold Pinsch who wrote the forward to the first edition of the Climbers Guide to the Olympics. He climbed them in 1971. And no, I'm not Rainman. I was researching them a couple of weeks ago and book marked a link I found through Google. Harold Pinsch's obit...
  8. In the Olympics, the Valhallas come to mind. That's probably just because I've never been there, and I hardly ever hear of anyone going out there . But you can count on them being lesser peaks with no close trail or road and a nice bushwack to get to them, where ever those summits might be.
  9. For a rock climbing gumby such as myself, it is pretty good. Nice pictures and descriptions of each area. If you know the area already you don't need it, but it is nice to have some one's opinion as to the ratings of each route. If you don't know the area, it can definitely point you directly to the fun stuff for your skill level... If you haven't seen that guys website, here it is: http://www.deceptioncrags.com/
  10. If you're talking about the Lil Mt Si (Exit 32 Climbing) book, I picked it up at REI month or two ago. I saw it at Second Ascent too. From the title, I thought you were asking to hire guide to climb Mt. Si...

I didn't know Rush posted here. Is he back on that 'Hillbilly Heroin'?
  13. Sorry, that is a bit much for those boots. I would suggest somewhere around $105 + tax. That's what the Northface Store would sell them for if they had them...
  14. We got the message I heard it on the airwaves The politicians Are now DJ's The broadcast was spreading Station to station Like an infection Across the nation Well you know you can't stop it When they start to play You gotta get out the way The politics of dancing The politics of ooo feeling good The politics of moving Is this message understood We're under the pressure Yes we're counting on you That what you say Is what you do It's in the papers It's on your t.v. news The application It's just a point of view Well you know you can't stop it When they start to play You gotta get out the way The politics of dancing The politics of ooo feeling good The politics of moving Is this message understood The politics of dancing The politics of ooo feeling good The politics of moving Is this message understood..
  15. I meant selling out of the back of my car. You need a watch? Bham needs a good climbers gear shop. A climbing wall is another business all together. If there is a decent wall at WWU, you'd be a fool to try to run one there anyway.
  16. 250 uses for an ice axe (Intermountain Climbing Club) #212 Prop for posing for climbing photos.
  17. Coondog, check out this link... How much for the right one?
  18. That was a work of genius. It has my vote as well.
  19. Ya, but enough about how you felt. How did you look?
  20. So Basecamp is gone? Sounds like a business opportunity up there...
  21. Subject line correction...
  22. I completely agree with you. I think that mankind (and womenkind too) really is overstating their own significance in nature. I mean, we are just a tick on the balls of existence. Eventually, we are going to get flicked off, or better yet, blow up in fountain of blood...and nature will purge our shitty little contribution. I say enjoy it all. Extreme snowmobile crevass jumping should be the next Olympic sport. There really isn't any Wilderness left to have ethics about, so that spray is mute. It's all been 'had'. Enjoy it.

    Save Wreck Beach

Hey, us Merkins have our own nuddie fests, along with something you ain't got: Freedom Fries and Freedom Dip Sandwiches! I hear tell of some good ole nuddie hijinx in some hotsprings in the Cascade foothills. That article was sorta kiddie porn. Really, out of everyone, they focus on a 12 year old girl? Kanuck Kiddie Porn?
