And the larger question: what if that limb has a pirate attached to it? Ethically speaking this could be not only considered bad climbing technique, but also assault and battery.

ok then. what about an angry pirate. can you pull on the peg leg? you're likely to lose an eye with that hook.

lets say you're half way up a hard climb, and suddenly a donkey is right in your way. should you pull on the donkey's tail? there is the risk the donkey will punch you. does this have ethics in it?
