well you can drive to 3'O Clock Rock parking since last weekend (my low slung Honda did ground out a bit on the place were the road is normally washed out, but its OK). Not sure about other Darrington access.

Not true at all Dru. It may be the case in some instances, but the most partner requests I see here are people who just want to get out and climb and can't find anyone with the same sort of schedule that they have.

OK THNX PINK. GETTING OVER MYSELF RIGHT NOW. Can you link your myspace page?

Post in the partners section. Be honest about your ability. If your experience is negative, let me know. I think much of the negativity you mention is a factor of the original poster's query. Some people just come off like they have a helmet with the words "Crash" written on it. You don't come off as such a person. You should be able to post as a newbie (or experienced) glacier climber or peak grabber and not get grief.

awesome, an new pack of 5.9s and 5.10s! we just need to get some traffic on them to keep them clean. thanks to all who cleaned!

Huh? Who keeps posting pics of you on Space Andrew? LOL!! Personally, I like to read TR, reading about climbs is the next best thing to doing them, and in fact, planning on doing a route, and learning the snow conditions from some other poor soul who got their car stuck in the snow is better than getting stuck yourself IMO. _________________________________________________________________- I didn't know this and appreciate the heads up on it. Should I stop posting my own TR's in spray then? Cause I like it that way.....but that's me and I'm strange. Glad you didn't ban the bone Porter, dude has a good heart, even if sometimes....sigh...... Warm regards to all no post away if you want! i'm not try to squash friends making fun of one another...its more when adversaries use it to criticize each other. i would like the keep the TR section a place were people are not afraid to post in. I'm not concerned with people who don't care to share their experiences, but with those who might wish to. In my opinion the TR database is the heart and soul of the board. I bet a lot more read that than read the "good natured ribbing" that occurs in spray.

are u seriously serious? what's wrong with not wanting to whore yourself out? trip reports are great but jeez porter, don't be such a fucking tool. even in my days when i was sending everyhting i could possibly get my hands on i would have never posted a trip report, i think myspace is better suited for self promotion anyway. i could give a shit if you post a TR pink. you don't strike me as the type to write an imaginative one. after all, its a personal and private journey for you, right? but don't use the TR section as source material for ripping someone. You can't see the logic in that? Well, then you may be as dumb as Kevbone

Kev was a little puzzled by why I got pissed. The reason is this: Do not drag content from the TR forum over to spray for the purposes of making fun of those who have the balls (or necessary female gumption) to post a TR. It sets a bad precedent. Maybe KKKKK is thick skinned enough to blow it off, but it will discourage people from posting TRs if they aren't as thick skinned. Thanks. And no, I won't ban Kevbone. Not until someone gives me $2000.

Fuck off Kev, at least he contributes to the TR forum. You on the other hand, are the person that most people would like to see banned for life. (I get almost daily requests, I am completely serious). So STFU.

Maybe its just because its a Canadian thing, whenever I see "I got my Grade 12" I think of the Trailer Park Boys. Nice TR Marc! -

my Gallus gallus is a booted bantam

i usually carry a boombox to the crag so I can have a disco party like that when i'm climbing without a helmet and comm-linking my buddies with rope tugs.

I woke up in the ditch again. Someone split my head open with a maul, or at least thats how it feels. I messed myself. Again. But there is a bit left in the bottle I found in my hand, so I have a drink and stumble out into a bright new day of possibility.

the "health insurance" i have sucks. its basically catastrophe insurance that only starts paying out after i have paid out a large deductible that is far more than I average in yearly medical costs. if you are happy with your insurance you're most likely in the minority for Americans. I've worked for two major companies and have seen medical insurance coverage take a huge downward turn, from great coverage to what I have above. And these are from companies that are considered "good to work for". I do feel lucky to have the coverage I do though. Shortly after I had (in one year) both sepsis and a broken leg, my insurance changed. Instead of paying out the huge amount I would now the costs were reasonable.

Every time I go out on my bike someone tries to kill me driving their Prius.

it really matters not as long as you and your climbing partner have some agreed set of commands. so if you and your partner like to tug, have at it! my copy of FOH is from 1960, so perhaps there is an update to that section.
