I drove the road this weekend, hiked up the Blanca in the snow. The new road section is well done. I hiked that section when the road was out and was wondering how they would do it, of course had to go up the hillside away from the river. There is an immediate 11% grade to get up away from the river. the road to the blanca trailhead is washed out, but not meaningfully (only adds 1/4 mile and is passable by high clearance 4x4 if you really want to get up the road).

List TRs that look like they have photos but they aren't showing up here. Some of them I can fix. Others I can't (usually if they are stored somewhere other than CC.com and are gone from the server that originally have them....I can't fix that). I just randomly found this TR was missing its photos, and I was able to fix it.

Well, I sold that bike and moved on to another one with better tire clearance and more modern mounting for brake mounting. But but the best bike is the one you have and can afford.

I had it to myself! Slept in my truck up at overnight lot, was just on a random wander. Woke up at 5am and went down there, that shot is lit by the full moon. But..it wasn't long before the hoards started showing up. I left and went down to hike up Church mtn.

war is hell

I got this belaying harness for my dog but wondering how the hell I teach him to belay me. Normally he just runs ahead and sniffs out things and then occasionally checks in with me to make sure I haven’t died yet. I’m not convinced that he will give me an attentive belay if there are squirrels in the area. Please help.

That Oly fishing guide, I have a copy of that. Funny to see it is going for around $5 or $100 on Amazon right now. Have seens someone elses copy of that Burdo book. The Mines and Treasures book looks awesome! Does it give good directions to the treasure? My parents have a huge trove of books like this, I'm not sure they have that one though.
