  6. it is a lot like going to battle for sure. was just thinking about what i did when I was growing up and at this age. i wasn't walking directly into the fire of head to head competition like this. but U seems to like it. but its nothing like the personal battle of, say, trying to climb something at the next grade up.
  7. Some people just don't Internet that well. Its going OK! It is pretty nuts how competitive the game is getting at 11u....not to mention how nasty some of the parents have been that we have run into. But i'm pretty impressed with the coaching on U's team, and we still have lots of baseball to go.
  8. guess who had 10Ks in 5 innings against Jaha this weekend? they used him in one inning in the first day, so too bad he could go the distance against those sore losers.
  9. hahahahahahahaha.....how did you like that bitch slap!

  11. This definitely sounds like a great party with great weather and presented by some folks who have been taking care of Washington climbers for years. Definitely get there if you can!
  12. This is the sort of TR that drew me to CC.com when I first discovered the place. Thank you James, I'm inspired for sure. Great pics and good story. These are the sorts of adventures we all love to take: there was a little drama, but you persevered, and had some memories that will be etched in you as long as you live. Who could ask for more.

Make sure the young man understands how to use protection (both sport and traditional) before he ventures out on his own!

    teens climbing

Hello Muffy! Thanks for your letter. I highly recommend outdoor activities for youngsters. It can promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Climbing, done correctly, can be a great outlet for a teenager. I also recommend a healthy diet and reading Catcher in the Rye for the young man.
  18. Awesome! Great to see you guys doing so well. Will be in to have a look with Ulee soon (though with baseball I'm not sure when that will actually be).

    Trip Reports

Funny, I'd always assumed it was you, but thanks to my special moderator vision I can see you are indeed two separate ip addresses, and I doubt you'd hassle with the spoofing just to try and defeat my awesome powers. Whats an ip addresses?
  20. I like how they laid out the fact with bullet points: FACT: Located in Rodellar, Northern Spain, the rock is known as El Delfin - because it is shaped like a dolphin FACT: Huge, rocky arch is considered one of the hardest climbs in the world - only one per cent of climbers succeed FACT: Ally Smith, 32, from Cheshire, spent whole day trying to complete the climb with many attempts resulting in him falling
