http://www.icicleinn.com/webcams.htm EDIT: It got pretty wet in the canyon this afternoon.

You should charge by the word.

30% chance of rain on the west side= it's already raining, but only where you are, and there's no end in sight. 30% chance on the east side= get real, it's rained twice this year. It was the longest 20 minutes of my life. EDIT: ok, it rained today, but it was a dry rain.

The Original route is an old Pat Timson line, really fun. The Warrior is a nice cliff that sees shade in the mornings.

Lots of fun stuff up there.

The figure nine: good for fixing ropes, easy to untie. Use it at work every day.

I make no apologies for legaly carring a pistol in the woods. Meth heads and wierdos beware.

Hmmm, it was pretty good today. The cracks are a little cold on the fingers.

We did not manage to redpoint Dukes either, but the route got a good scrubbing and new bristlers.

I prefer to not talk about all my bolts. It’s just easier. At first I really wanted you to come and see my bolts. But to be truthful, you brought your friends, and to be honest, some of them are kinda weird, especially that one guy, you know who I talking about...So sorry, You are not allowed, all of you. That way, I can climb my routes at my cliffs with my friends any time I want, without you or your friends. Remember those old time explorers you read about in books? They would set out with some friends and find somewhere new, a place without all the people they did not like... well, that’s kind of like me and my friends. We have fun without you or your friends! Oh how we laugh and carry on sometimes! There are no rules here you see… so there is no rule breaking! How easy is that?... I know, it rocks! I am free of you or your friends telling me what you would have done if you were me, because you are simply not there to do so. As we both recall, you and your friends were not invited, sorry! This is because you and your friends have to go find your own cliffs. Sorry, that’s just the way it works. Here is a little tip: If I tell you or your friends about a cliff, it means me or my friends are long gone. Please do not tell me or my friends about how great your new cliff is, we do not want to go there anyway. Our new cliff is indeed far better... without you or your friends.

Buy Jerry Hendren's book. Not only is it the single most comprehensive guide for the area, it's layout and color photos have made it one of the finest climbing guides in the world, hands down. Not only that, my boss Simon Peck is on the cover.

You can camp in the desert south of highway 159 or up at Black Velvet for free.

Not on the wall, but I used to display old Nat Geo. maps from the 1960s under my glass tabletop. Classic styling and you can change the maps easily.

Awl you will ever need! I choose the pick over the chisel, better for cracks. Turn it sideways for good dirt scraping or pull 1/4" Leeper hangers right out with the pick. Oh yeah, I have thunked this thing into dirty moss filled mystery cracks while leading, pure cascade joy!

That's because you were the first person to climb there in 15 years. I have been told that the NFC has the best 12b in the state. A friend had a run in with a sasquach up there.

Right on Sol, Midnite Rock needs some love. I would like to help clean the munge off a couple old routes up there. I will be home in a week or so.

Treking poles make a bitchin blowgun. 16 penny nails can be shot quite accurately by a skilled user. Use a little duct tape to make a cone specific for your caliber pole.

I totally agree with everything you say! It looks like I was mistaken on several points, thanks for setting things straight.

Climbed 5.9/5.10 in Leavenworth last month all day off the couch. BFD. And I've climbed more than 243,000 feet off-pavement on my mountain bike since November, while balancing a career with a night job and raising three children. And your point is.....? My point is I choose to not to constantly berate and belittle people who are actively climbing, maintaining, and devloping local routes. Either get climbing or leave. If you were actively out there climbing, I would respect your opinion. But since you do not, you just detract from the people who do. Climb and contribute, or leave. It's simple. These people do these routes for many reasons, some I agree with, some I'd rather just steer clear of. (you know who you are...) Some of them hate and despise the very people who climb the routes they work so hard to develop, and people love the routes anyways! Whatever the reason, I will not stand in their way or try to stop anybody from these activity for one simple reason: It is a freedom that we all have the right to enjoy Do I care if a guy wants to add a bolt? no. Do I care if someone builds a trail for his bike? no. Do I care if some person constantly tries to take away my right to choose to do these things? Yes. Do not fuck with freedom, it's real, real hard go get it back.
