  1. If you come in from the East I would bet you could get a tow pretty easily. Almost all of the skiers around here use sleds for access. This is the hairpin on a weekday late last season: http://d.pr/i/6SjH
  2. I'm a recent transplant to Mazama and am loving the Methow so far. Pretty much have to find remote work though.
  3. Our camp chairs were stolen from one of the upper sites at COR this past fall. I stopped by the ranger station on our way out just to mention it to the ranger (didn't want to bother with a police report or anything). He was extremely nice and seemed genuinely disappointed, saying that theft is extremely rare in COR.
  4. Moonshiner, were you at Goat Wall or headed up to the Fire Wall?
  5. Do any of the Seattle gyms or retailers have it in stock right now?
  6. Flew down to Phoenix last weekend with sport gear in my carry on. (including a grigri) No problems at all.
  7. Rumney on a weekend is pretty brutal. The Mass-holes come out in force, and there is douchebaggery all around.
  8. The river crossing is fine. It's no more than 3 feet deep.
  9. Quick update: I went up to the North Fork crag yesterday. The road is fine. There is a newish clearcut where the "trail" starts. The crag is extremly overgrown, highly chosstastic and the fixed draws look extremely weather worn.
  10. This might be a stupid question, but is it easy to tell if the cat. converter has been stolen from your Taco?
  11. Yes, sorry, I should have been more specific. I mean the North Fork crag out in North Bend. I was out there in 2002, but heard that the road might have washed out recently.
  12. Has anyone been out to the North Fork crag lately? How's the road?
  13. Anyone know how the road is now? Thinking about heading up this weekend.
  14. Went up this weekend. You can scramble the whole thing on the scree / pumice, although it's a slog.
