  1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with kicking somebody's ass.
  2. Rack with a yosemite draw on every cam, it simplifys the whole trad thing. I don't use this system much anymore, but it kept me in one piece during the 5.10 learning curve.
  3. I engrave special inspirational messages to myself on my camalots in tiny, tiny letters. Personal favorites: This is so important Fuck you, you're gonna die. Property of John Long Farfrumsendin' Self wonderful Booty patrol Best cam ever
  4. Sorry, I'm now in Mississippi. The weather is pretty nice here if anybody wants to know.
  5. Yo, woke up this morning in Blue Diamond to moderately heavy snow. It was not sticking in town, but the park looked like it got pasted pretty good, so if you are planning to come down this week, check with DRS or somebody. Classic Nevada in the spring, we were basking in the sun yesterday, climbing Red Zinger and Zyphoid Fever. Two great cracks, boy do my hands hurt...
  6. Biathlon, is that like when I'm packin my airsoft Glock in the snowboard park, poppin' fools who drop in on my mad lines?
  7. A crafty sort of person might use the snow creatively, maybe just bring a couple avy shovels in the crash pad. Only right now can that highball project can have the flat landing you wish it had.
  8. Lambone, Did you ever sell the hangy-fort? Send reply via intranet. Thanks.
  9. Wow, this is so...sad.
  10. Yeah, I heard the Winter Meltdown was a big hit! Over a thousand people came out for the show.
  11. Hey all, Just wanted to let everyone know that Flowmotion is playing Uncle Uli's in Leavenworth this saturday night. Josh just called me and he wanted me to get the word out to all the rock climbers who might be across the mountains for the weekend. So if you are coming over for a little early season rock climbing or will be coming down out of the Enchantments, come on down for a Jim Jack burger, good beer and some great music! 12. I own the bashie from the J tree classic, Bolt Bashie and a Bold Mantle. It was a gift from a friend who had it fall out when he climbed past it. My partner unwittingly cleaned the fixed wire that hung from the crux pitch of Outer Space for most of the 1990's.
  13. Bring gaiters, still about 18-36" of mushy snow on the south facing slopes. Oh yeah, it's raining right now.
  14. Yeah, I was kinda hoping for something like: "The one on the left is 11b, the one on the right is 11d" At that point I thank the nice person and everyone can get on with life.
  15. Just add a couple feet of snow, and that's the current look. It's just like skiing trees, just keep looking at the opening, not the trees.
  16. Keep that thought! We will have dry rock tomorrow morning, look forward to it.
  17. These things usually drive with one hand on the wheel one on the E-brake, messing with the cd player and flipping the other guy off.
  18. I've done my own trigger repair many times. Use 1/16" wire rope and nico sleeves. The crimping tool will cost you a little, but you can easily pay for the whole setup by fixing a couple more units for friends. 1/16" does not repair Metolius or Aliens.
  19. I thought it looked fun! Climbing, it is so much... fun.
  20. What's the score on the bolted routes next to La Cucaracha and Madsen's chimney? They look good, but documentation is lacking.
