  1. And Kittitas County has exactly what to do with properties in Grant County? Not familiar with the area so I took a shot without double checking. Sorry for the error.
  2. Fever can cause the vertigo. Sounds like you could have had a viral infection dude. If you can’t or won’t go to the doctor then get a good book or find some other good online resource. What ever you do, don’t listen to anyone here. We’re climbers not doctors captain!
  3. Next time you're in the area stop by the County Assessor's Office. They should be able to show you an Assessor's map of the properties out there and you can inquire ownerships or who pays the taxes. It's public information. Some counties have all of that online, but I didn’t anything on their site. Grant County Assesor

    Burn out or peace out?

Thanks for making my point... here's your sign.
  5. I was one of those purists that held out to the bitter end with my 35mm. The old story... It just seemed like cheating to go digital. Then I blew it when and went all out for the Canon Rebel XT in 2005. Now that 8 mega-pixel super-camera is outdated!!!

    Burn out or peace out?

I’ve seen two kinds of spray on CC; there’s the useless, brazen & offensive spray and just good banter and joking. Some of the more brazen posts I’ve seen or been the target of just blow my mind. I remember feeling like I wanted to track some idiot down and ask him to say those things to my face. Seriously pissed me off... and over some stupid post on a forum. How can people be so disrespectful to others they don’t even know? My guess is that they just don’t really care. I have a suggestion to those people, if you have something like that you really want to say. PM the other person instead of posting it for everyone to jump on. If you PM it, then you are making it personal and I doubt you’d be offensive. If you have to post it for everyone then you’re probably just an asshole. Damn! Now I have to check my PM’s! Anyway, that’s just my $0.02
  7. but first you gotta pack the pig.
  8. solo that this looks like spray!
  9. I always pack MY beer in my friends pack to avoid these kinds of hazards...
  10. It's funny this thread started now because I just came back from my first day long trip wearing my new Nepals and my feet were screaming for the last 4 miles! I had the Viesturs in too and it felt like my feet were in concrete shoes. Since I didn’t get blisters I was chalking it up to break-in. But it sounds like a combo of too thick of a foot bed + break in. I'll be going for the green SuperFeet now! Interesting comment about the aloe gel. I wonder if Aloe Gator would do the same? Somebody try it and let me know.

    Boot Beta

I was looking pretty hard at this Scarpa boot not too long ago. For me it came down to the Summit and the Evo. LINKY LINK
  12. I almost lost it when I thought nobody had mentioned SRV! Thanks Skeezix! Anything, and I mean ANYTHING by SRV rocks let alone his solos!!!
  13. I specifically stay away from other sports because I know I will only enjoy them if I am good at them... really good. Which means I have to go all the way. A guy at work just asked me why I wasn't into golfing. Simple. It looks kind of fun and if I start playing it, then I'm buying all the shit and playing all the time until I either figure out I just suck at it and hate everyone that plays it or I'm gonna go pro. PRO MAN!!! Pool... now there’s one I can and have easily obsessed about. Especially straight pool. Only obsessed pool players even know about that game! Ya... I got the OCD.
  14. I tend to agree with you. Am I understanding that BD has expressed that they will not repair their lamps at all after the warranty expires? Has anyone ever had a BD lamp repaired under warranty? I’m guessing the cost of the lamp is less than any repair so they would just replace all warranty lamps. I agree that self repair is a good plan. I’ve got 3 different BD headlamps and really like each one for different reasons.
  15. Oh ya, you reminded me... I do have another hobby. My harley! Last year I re-built the transmission and I'm thinking next winter might be an engine rebuild. Not as fun as riding it, but I do enjoy working on it. Plus, it gets 50 MPG! I imagine I'll be riding it a lot more now!
  16. never happen. Climbing and skiing are enough for me outside of my wife and my work these days. I use to volunteer for an MRA team... I put over ten years in. Talk about filling your spare time with something. BTW: THANKS to the rescuers that are out there doing it!!!
  17. Ya but these links are for smarter people.
  18. Another good one is: weather underground You pick your area and you can check real time weather stations.
  19. I prefer Dawn of the Dead.
  20. i've experimented in da hills w/ the only bivi sack or only lightweight sleepign bag and from now on will always go w/ the sleeping bag...the sack always ends up being colder, but then i've never unexpectedly been hit by a rainstorm. No sleeping bag? Fawk that shite. The extra clothes you'll to keep your teeth from shattering will undoubtedly outweigh a nice, warm, summer bag. Skimp on the clothes, not the bag. No sleep = shitty performance and a shitty time. Here here! What about those half-bags? I've heard some folks swear by them. I have a friend that uses one and he's never complained. I've been contemplating making my old zero into one, but I can't bring myself to put the scissors to it. I've got a 15 degree Sierra Designs bag now that has a "lid" cover that zips on to get another 15 degrees of warmth. I picked it up at a close-out sale and haven't seen one since. I've used the cover for an ultra-light bag (20oz).

  22. I have a tip/question. I saw a few guys wearing water socks around camp in the cascades last year and thought that was the best idea for alpine camp shoe. But now I can’t find anything like what they had. They were extremely light and rolled up together into a ball about the size of a baseball. I can't remember specifically, but I think they were blue, rubbery and mostly open except for the sole. They looked comfy with socks on. Anyone out there use something like this?
  23. Sooooo, I probably shouldn’t be loaning my gear out?
  24. Thanks for sharing man!
