you remind me of one of my flat mates in grad school. he systematically decimated all the snaffles in his back yard at his parent's home near cape cod. there was about a 100 yard death zone around his house where no snaffle dared go.

i'm waiting for ID proponents to explain why we have so many garbage and vestigial segments in our genome. we're kind of like supercomputers that have random bits of circuitry from old Heathkit computers embedded in ourselves, except the circuits aren't connected to anything....kind of a crappy design really.

I've seen 30-40 people following a bear through the campground in the middle of the night, popping off camera flashes the whole time. If that bear turns around and mauls someone, is it the park's fault? I mean, after all, the park service knew about the "bear problem"....
