There is room for all of God's creatures......right next to the mashed potatoes.

What happens if you travel back in time, kill 'yourself', and travel to your present? Would you cease to exist?
-
Carl, an apostrophe IS NOT USED to denote a plural. Thank you.

In my time as a sport climber (ugh!), I have NEVER seen anyone brush an entire route before they get off it. Maybe it's a Washington thing.

"If you get into a pissing contest with a skunk, you end up smelling like a skunk." I'm outta here.

OH! So suddenly you know! You were in the room with him? Or do you have the video? Tell me, how the fuck do you know? Anwer? Was 9/11 a trivia quiz? What the hell are you talking about? Kerry admits he was in a state of shock for quite a while, he says "we could not think" (and j_b, in his infinite wisdom says "he was reacting" ). Yet this is A-OK as far as our intellectual friend j_b is concerned. Bush, on the other hand, is not allowed to be in a state of shock for any amount of time. He was supposed to react! What should he have done, summoned the presidential time machine, gone back to the future, and killed the terrorists before they attacked us? No! You're right, Bush should have reacted, like Kerry! He should have surrounded himself with people, and discussed "how they could not think". Now THAT would be appropriate! I can't claim to be an expert of goverment affairs during a crisis, but I am quite sure that there are systems in place to react and respond appropriately. I ask again what could Bush have done? Answer me that, O Great One. And don't tell me that "he should have reacted appropriately", or some other vague BS. Tell me more, j_b, I'm still trying to figure out what happened to your sense of logic, if it ever existed (which is questionable).

Yes.

First off, you came up with the 40 minutes figure. That wasn't me. Secondly, if Kerry says "we just realized nobody could think", that implied to me that they couldn't think; they were in a state of shock (like Bush, only he's fun to condemn for it). Now you ask if I know what they discussed. I do; you just told me: they sat around and 'discussed how they could not think'. You call me a moron? Now where you came up with the absolutely rib-splitting, pant-wetting, rolling-on-the-floor quote that "they discussed how they could not think" I don't know. I do know, however, that in time of crisis, there are more important things to discuss than how you cannot think. You must disagree, which is why I'm very very glad that you don't run this country. I guess I'm a dim bulb. Keep going, laughing is good for the soul.

Wow, every time I read that comment I burst into sponaneous laughter. Thanks b_j...er....j_b.

ROTFLMAO. You are really something, j_b.

Well, if Kerry couldn't think for 40 minutes when he DIDN'T have any responsibility to do something, I would be curious why anybody could believe that he WOULD be able to think if he DID have any responsibility. At least Bush was able to think after 7 minutes, which is quite a bit less than 40.

Welcome to cc.com preschool. Really, folks, this is pathetic.

Gee, I musta missed that Bush is basing his entire campaign on his war record! What is it exactly that would make Kerry a good president? Oh, yeah, he's not Bush.

Hey, there are racists on the left, too! "House Negro" is OK? WTF?

Moore is smart enough never to come out straight and say anything; hence, there is plenty of room for people like you to to wiggle around and point out that "Moore never said that!". Now this is interesting. Yes, it was too close to objectively call a tie. Yet plenty of news sources were calling it for Gore. Yet they don't recieve criticism? It's OK for call an extremely close election for one candidate, but not the other? If Fox had called it for Gore, would you be complaining about it? Nobody made the other news stations follow Fox's lead. Why blame the right? I don't claim to be objective in the least. And your 'scrutiny' is laughable.

Very true.

Who are you voting for? I'm not pleased with either one (is anyone?), but I'm not sure that Kerry/Edwards would do a better job than Bush. (Jim, I'll post your reply for you, to save you some time: )

Wow, an intelligent post for once, thanks Will. I know, but that was my initial reaction to the film. I see what you're saying with particulars vs generalities. But Moore was arguing with particulars, so many of which (I hesitate to say 'lies about') he is extremely disingenuous about. I'm not as far right as I come off here, I read both sides' propaganda and do my best to sift through the bullshit and form an opinion that isn't spoon fed to me. I recognize each side's attributes and weaknesses, and I'm not afraid to say so. Unlike so many anti-Bushies. Keep posting your links, I appreciate them. I'm not going to argue any more about F 9/11, since there's really no point. Suffice to say, I'm pissed about the film. Jim, RBW, you're saying what I knew you would say. I beg you: check the facts. The Coulter piece contains a lot of opinion, but it also includes facts about the issue at hand. The sources I've linked to are obviously biased, but they contain a lot of information that you can easily corroborate. Is this really so hard to do? I keep seeing people who accept everything fed to them by the left, and dismiss everything fed to them by the right, solely on the basis of political lean. That's stupid.
