During crack climbing the last few weeks, I have gotten a sharp pain (like a needle being inserted into the center of my palm)while my middle and ring fingers are in flexion. This only happens when my thumb is inverted. [Grab the top center of your car steering wheel with your left hand and turn the car to the right, or insert the fingers of your left hand into grab a vertical crack at about head height and pull to the left. The pain is a very localized sharp feeling like a needle in the center of my palm, approximately in line with the branching of the median nerve to the nerves of those two fingers. I don't know if it is a nerve or a tendon. It doesn't feel like a nodule or pulley issue. Any ideas?

There are more Capitol Police, DC Police, NPS police, FBI, SS and Washington Port Authority police than you can believe. I'll bet AlpineK has something to say about safety and tree spiking. I am against tree abuse. Spiking that lttle hickory tree isn't going to do anything to deter logging. It has no commercial use or value. You don't have to feel helpless or go out and do something counterproductive like tree spiking, go join a group or give them money. You need to fight the industrial land and resource snatchers and agencies in the court of public opinion and then in the Federal Courts and Congress. You could always just vote the Republicans out of the White House.
