  1. NP, I get very feisty when it comes to specific holds. This one used to nail your index finger with a harsh nub, but now that its "comfortised", its a bit easier... If this is too hard, in a few days I will add another hold photo to the mix... ...we shall see...
  2. DUDE! Stay on topic please.
  3. With all these fun and silly "name that crack/route/flavouring", I am re adding the hold I tacked on to the dying "name that route" thread. This is a classic hold, softened by some evildoer with a chisel but still an integral part of this classic problem. Not in the NW btw

Frigging hilarious! Thanks Porter, priceless :kisss:
  5. Hmmm, perhaps "Ghey" is assuming everyone has facebook. :[]
  6. DUDE I so have you beat by umm 5 months. WOOT, grats tho!! Welcome to the beginning of the best years!!
  7. 56. You actually post a "valid" response to this inane thread? WTF?

  9. Speaking of which...whay has Toyota chosen to go with Frank Z's famous facial hair?
  10. Bottom right edge of Rattlesnake ledge ( east base of main face) has a cool ass flared chimney feature, can TR or boulder it. Prolly 20 feet or so in marginal rock, but nice looking and definitely a skill builder, I'd say mid ten. I did it years ago when me and some friends were stoked on the area. I named it "Binkleys closet of Anxieties 5.10+"
  11. NIce! fun UG. grats! Ding!
  12. Just found a few more items, any ideas? The book looks a bit deep for me tho.
  13. Just aquired a bunch of my dads tools and such (incl a mini lathe) and I'm like WTF? Still sorting thru it, lots of fun and curious items from the mind and life of an old Boeing man.
  14. 5.7 liter, 8 Cylinder, plush, cd/dvd/tv ...the dogs are stoked Thanks for the PM's regarding offers and options. Were styling now. Cheers.
  15. I got stoked in Zion by my trail crew leader John Gangemi's tales...went home, bought a bunch of books and self learned knots and belay basics. Bought a small rack of stoppers and hexes from Basecamp supply and a rope and a harness from some dude at my High School...I recruited a stoner friend to drive up to Index and I led GNS onsight with pro every foot or so. What a rush. my only previous experience was learning the basics at spire rock from the locals, including some strange old guy soloing around in tennis shoes and black socks..
  16. Dude...I won't even try to speculate why you chose to write that nor why you thought it was clever. You might think that our (environmental/ethical) opinions are a joke....but you're smart enough and been around long enough to understand the issues and our perspective of it. Enjoy your drill...why not put it to better use putting an addition onto your house or some other PRIVATE useful purpose that won't disgrace PUBLIC land. Don, I gotta say I fucking respect you but when it comes to climbing you just dont get it. This is 2007, cmon dude get with the master plan. I expected alot more out of you for the "end of days" period. Get ready to write a note to your descendents to examine the values of the "community" just prior to your societies demise. Welcome to your doom brah, grab a cold one and savor the lightshow!
  17. Do a few c1/c2/c3 pitches and you will really learn how to place gear. I think going to the other end of the trad spectrum (aid) can do wonders for folks learning to place gear. It sounds weird but stepping up on placements really forces you to "look em in the eye" so to speak and see what works and what does not.

    Marriage

I have to say its been a solid 16 years of good fun and no BS for us. Marriage is great, assuming you made the proper choice for the proper reasons. Friends for life is the best way to describe it. We had the benefit of starting out kinda "rocky" ( pun intended) and everything went uphill from there. 22. I haven't found any yet and we vacuum regularly.
  23. my dog max...big on looks but big on licks.
  24. I think the general theme here is DOGS. Alarm systems are good too but costly. I believe simple steps like not flaunting "bling", keeping shades drawn at night, clearing brush and obscuring vegetation, GOOD lighting, and common sense go a long way in keeping thieves away. I like being able to have at least one car parked outside and I have made a habit of whenever we leave the house unattended to wave vigorously at the house as we leave...giving the impression there is still someone inside
