  1. Hey dood, I think we may be related!
  2. I prefer a pancake on my head
  3. What is the significance of a snaffle with a pancake on its head?
  4. Now I can understand a bunny hiding under a pumpkin, but what is the significance of a pancake on a bunnys head??
  5. They were probably just hunting game animals, or snafflehounds. I've noticed each year that hunters need increasingly numerous bullets to hit their game.
  6. Yah, its probably the best mountain tent out there. Weight is not too bad, but the best thing is not having to deal with a rain fly in the wind. Anyway, I mailed it off to Sweatin it out, to check out. Will let you know what he says.
  7. ok, check your PM!
  8. OK, I have a Bibler Fitzroy tent that I don't use, am using their I-tent instead, plenty big enough for the mouse. So, if anyone is looking for a used Fitzroy, I would probably part with it.
  9. Where are you Ted. Are you here? Trying to head up this weekend for a couple of weeks.
  10. I got frostbite once, got back to the car, turned the heater on, and what pain!!! I could barely walk for a week or two, couldn't even lay a sheet over my toes at night. All my toenails fell out. They returned eventually, except for my two big toes. They look like crap. I did go to a doctor a day or two afterwards. He said he could not do anything, they had already thawed out, and oh, by the way, $65 please. Might get some good advice from folks here, but best advice, is don't let it happen again. Get better boots etc. good luck
  11. Can't be Monardella.... he said 8" floral heads, plant 1' tall. Terrible photo-you ought to be ashamed! so.. bet is still on for buckwheat!! Reference: USFS plant botonist Charles Johnson PhD.
  12. It's creamy buckwheat (Eriogonum heracleoides). I live by Hells canyon, we've got it all over. This time of year the flowers are more yellow and brown than shown in the plant books. Good thing you didn't eat it, it will make your testicles withdraw into your body.
  13. Pat Robertson and another man were standing at the bottom of a stairway, watching two women in evening gowns descend. Robertson: Thats the uglist women I ever saw! Man: That is my wife. Robertson: I meant the other women. Man: That is my daughter. Robertson: I didn't say it.
  14. and I thought this was going to be a hOOters thread!
  15. just get a havahart live trap, and relocate or other later. trust me, i ought to know.
  16. I seem to remember his name as someone who used to climb with Greg Ball, the guy who used to head up the Washington Trails Assoc.
  17. Thanks for the website... just what i was looking for, although the spray is a bit lame there. next stop MOAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. OK, so you are all stuck to rock walls like a bunch of squirrels. Anyone know a forum for river running?
  19. Anyone float the green river lately, desolation, gray, stillwater, or labyrinth canyons? Heading south soon for a little river rat action, but as dry as it has been here, and as low as the rivers are, I am starting to wonder???
  20. It was YOU, wasn't it!
  21. Your research is flawed. Crushed! Four years, a wildlife degree, and they change the rules. Are skunks now white, with black stripes?
  22. That is a martin. Martes americana. Family mustelidae, just like skunks, weasels, fishers, otters, etc. Don't you guys ever go into the mountains??? geeeezzz
  23. Sure looks like Matterhorn to me. This should be a view from the east side, above Ice lake, at least 8000' elevation.
  24. That's right where we collected several pieces of a plane crash several years ago when I worked at Mt Rainier. Apparently a T33 trainer crashed in that area in 1968. Pieces of the jet would become exposed through the years. We took out part of a wing that said US AirForce, among other parts. With things melting out early this year, I bet you have found some more of that military jet. It was on the Nisqually before you head up the fan.
