  1. Yep, I made it but I'm expecting it to do about as much good as our letter writing campaign a few months ago.... Vegetablebelay
  2. Lambone, You guys smoked that route! My buddy and I met you at Goat Pass and did the upper ridge. I think you beat us back to camp! Vegetablebelay
  3. You could almost call that a vegetablebelay huh?
  4. Will this also work on email accounts like Hotmail or Outlook?
  5. I'm temptin, I'm temptin. Allthumbs - go back to Russia. Vegetablebelay is gonna take it to da limit.
  6. Yep, I'm working on my third ticket this year. I just got my first certified letter a couple of days ago saying pay or else. I paid the 50 bucks last year but not gonna do it this year. Should be a interesting diversion. Vegetablebelay wants to fight the power.
  7. It's doable. A couple of friends just did the trip from Summerland and up the Frying Pan Glacier two weeks ago. Didn't sound horrible, just horribly exposed! Vegetablebelay
  8. Interglacier on Rainier. Also, the North Face of North Twin Sister. Finally, I agree on the Colchuck Glacier - you feel like you're gonna drop into the lake! Vegetablebelay P.S. I'm told the North Face on St. Helens (before it blew) was the best glissade ever. [This message has been edited by vegetablebelay (edited 05-15-2001).]
  9. Urge to kill...rising......rising.....rising! Vegetablebelay
  10. C'mon Paul who is the sucker? How many did you put your order in for anyway? Did the customer service gal have a nice accent? Vegetablebelay
  11. Ummmmm Tim, I hate to say it, but it looks like Central Oregon is gonna blow up! http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis/web/vortex/display?slug=bulge09m&date=20010509&query=oregon Are you sure about this? Vegetablebelay
  12. Do I really have to make a motion to move this to the SPRAY category? If so, I do. Vegetablebelay
  13. Yep, Sunday was the day. I was one of the lucky hundreds to climb up the Worm Flows in spite of the TERRIFYING avy report. Saturday night was so clear and cold, everything from the Marble Mountain snow park up was frozen - more than a few climbers had crampons on. Many skiiers and snowboarders were sitting on top for a couple of hours waiting for things to soften up a bit. Fantastic views with an even better ride down. Highly recommended. Vegetablebelay is a little sunburned.
  14. Before the climb and during the climb, drink lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and, well... drink alot of water. It gives you your energy, and prevents altitude ailments. Guaranteed - if you hydrate enough, the altitude won't bug you at all. That, and pressure breathing. Vegetablebelay
  15. The Kautz is used as a descent route for a number of routes on that side so it's done pretty regularly. Other than the chute it's pretty easy, but when you get to the bottom of the chute you round a corner on your left and head straight back up a gully to get back to Camp Hazard - all the while staring at the ice cliff above you. Move fast, and know that even Camp Hazard isn't free from occasional falling chunks. Vegetablebelay
  16. CC, maybe you need to start this one again. Vegetablebelay
  17. So...uhhh Dru, when do we get the cool T-shirts? Vegetablebelay
  18. I'd say Kautz too - I did it last spring and I'd do it again. I liked it because you get to rope up on day one crossing the Nisqually giving you more of a sense of adventure than a full day of slogging on a trail. Overall, it's a interesting and scenic route, and no crowds. Vegetablebelay
  19. Alex, You have contributed to the Spray forum replying to ZDFG's posts with equally meaningless (in a climbing sense) links (Bettybowers and RealChange). Surely you found something redeeming about a forum where you could be a little whacky or angry or whatever. Vegetablebelay
