  1. So reading Dru's facts ...errrr, fidos facts......above, at 30 mg it looks to be a mild diuretic? How did I do? BTW, the last issue of mens health discussed a study wherein dudes who drank green tea lost more weight than those who ate......hmmm, I forget, it was something.....maybe it was Haagen Daz or sumptin. Theres some more facts for ya!
  2. What? I already posted on the other thread. ............. Should I repost here? Huh?
  3. not that you'll get anywhere or change anyones opinion......
  4. When you all reach a consensus on this, please let me know what I need to do to keep my behavior in line with the group. I have a lot of ambivalance about this kind of thing. It pisses me off to see bolts next to a crack that will protect with natural gear. I generally agree with Joseph and even somewhat with Pope. Yet I am spending my free time rap cleaning an area. With a pry bar, shovels, saws, brushes, brooms and other implements of destruction no less. Hell, who wants to get offed by a 400 lb block of stone on a filthy dirty groundup FA when you can safetly crank it off and watch it fall clean to the ground on toprope rappell? Not this hypocritacal pussy I can assure you. I appreciate what Ron O has done and agree with his philosphies of constructive scarring, Especially in real soft stone areas. The question remains for all stone however, why should great granite be allowed to be pounded to shit by pins? Why not fix pins or (last resort) put bolts into the trade routes? Why allow them to be beat to shit until we are later forced to do it? It's weak bullshit IMO. If you can't do it clean with Lowe balls, Aliens etc etc, , then fix the pins and do it now. I see the public relation pics on the new "Sharma" route up in Squamish and it looks like a pic of a crack with bolts next to it. I haven't done the route, but if the pic is what is really there, then it's crap, I don't care who did it. However, in an attempt to not be a bigger hypocryte than I already am, I'm sitting down and shutting the hell up. See my opening statement for clarification. Regards to all: but particularly those trying to really sort this out.
  5. Shit, I think you need to deduct points when someones been doing it too long. Moi, for instance, at 33 some years of climbing, am starting to forget a hell of a lot of stuff I use to practice and train for as a pup. I think I'm even forgeting what I'm forgeting, thats how bad it is. Bill
  6. Interesting idea Dru. You missed "cockpunch" though. What is a cockpunch that Bill A mentions BTW?
  7. Not me. In this weather I'm just pussycore, in front of the fireplace at home, warm. Looking to be @30 degrees and wet, which probably means freezing rain, but most likely not enough to really freeze any waterfalls. Just enough so you can't even drive up to go skiing. BTW, di you just get sucked in? Dude, I might just forsee your post count heading to 21,000 something.
  8. It is core, but clipping the first bolt and lowering off is SOFT core however

    Women over 20

Hmmm, true dat. however: My wife's inner beauty has tripled in the last 25 years. Thats right X3! Not that she's gone all to hell physically though. As she nears 50, although her shape is still there with some of the curves, they are certainly less pronounced than when we first got together (wider ass, less firm breasts, etc) and I don't give a rats ass about that. (Shes not wide, just aging in a normal way). She has effected big time positive change on the most important thing to me, and thats her personality and the way she and I relate. She is a giving, caring loving person who works her ass off making me a happy person in many ways, including (only 1 of many examples) pushing me out the door to go climb or ski when I have grumpy moment. Not to sound maudlin, but I'm more in love now with her than I ever have been. Shes an increadable woman, more so now that 20 years ago. The real good stuff is truely inside- and I would never had said (or thought it as well) anything more true or stupid sounding 20 years ago. I use to look pretty much at the wrapping without thinking what was underneath (personality) inside the package. What is underneath the hood counts in cars and in women -big time. There - you get the benefit of my 51 years and I didn't charge you for the knowledge. Boys (and girls) pick your spouse damn carefully - go ahead and check out her ass first, but better be thinking of the insides when you deside to make it permanent.
  14. I'm voting this for best thread revival of 2005.
  15. I think family *cough* cough* obligations *cough* are going to overrule my love of football being with ya all. Turns out my boy came off the mountain last night raving about the snow. Looks like I'll get drug up there to go skiing instead.....again:-) Being in the f*ing wet assed-cold friggan raining freezing mudpile with a bunch of sweatty guys....well, sounds enticing, but sorry, gonna have to defer.
  16. Small side note: when talking with Simon, do NOT TELL HIM his stuff is too expensive or even allude to the high prices. *cough* cough* But we got it straightened out after a bit.
  17. Your right about that. Every time I look at those pics I cringe. That guy could have popped his noggin on the rock and be rolling quad-like Christopher Reeves style. Lucky F-en Bastard. I'm resolving to stop looking.
  18. ps if you want to hear how I dropped a #7 DMM stopper in Red Rocks last week let me know. A rarity. I'm screaming "Rock Rock ya bastards and stuff like that". Ujahn speaks from below...uhhh, Bill, that wasn't a rock, it looked like one of your new DMM stoppers. Dropped 3 or 4 pitches down and landed 2 feet from my pack.
  19. You are a sick bastard Pete. I haven't played for 30 years, I'm interested. Do you need an out of shape, aging unshaved toad for a cheerleader? Cause I'm so there if ya do. Should be awesome weather this weekend snow wise, so if you pick my recovery day, and the lad lets off and I don't have to do a snow campout daily double at Meadows ...I'm interested. Perhaps the after game party could involve shovels, dirt and rock removal rappelling at Bill's Buttress at the Butte in prep for 4 new routes this spring instead of the usual beer and chips thing. PS bring butch and I'll bring Hank the angry Jack Russell, and I want to be on Nolses team so I can win. so.....if this and if that and if the other AND the stars align...... sounds good, I play a mean "Left Out" position. And bring a couple of those elecrtic heart re-starter chest thinggys for me will ya or make sure Butch can do CPR? ***Moderators: pleas delete my post if it makes no sense OK? I'm on wine medication for me hart. Thanxs****** (spoken with a slight slur).
  20. Nah. He should be happy folks remember him in a good way. Always!
  21. Seems reasonable. _____________________________________________________ Either that or someone went out and in the process of freezing their nards off just backed off and left it.
  22. Besides that, you must be freezing your cold, wet, frozen nards off out there?
  23. Hmmm, thats what I favored for years. Started with the ovals with blue gates (3000 lb test -most of the blue is gone) to replace my 1800 lb test Eiger Ovals, moved up to the D's with the red gates (4400 lb test most of the red is gone) and wound up with the smaller modified ds, which as the newest Bonattis aren't that old, maybe 20 years or so s they tested to like 5200 lbs or so. Still use them for Toproping.
