3 or 4 years ago?? Maybe a different provider. I did mine with WFAI (now known as Wilderness Alert)in Vancouver.

When I last did a Wilderness First Aid course, they emphasized this point really strongly re frostbite treatment: Do not allow your doctor to do anything until he/she can prove to you that they have contacted the Vancouver General Hospital burn unit for the latest frostbite protocol. This was definetely more in reference to blackened toes and the like, and this was a few years ago, and maybe VGH is no longer the be-all end-all in frostbite treatment, but it might be helpful, if you are talking to a doc about it, or if anyone does get serious frostbite.

Yes I have the striped T-shirt, I am weearing it now actually. That is good to know that the the other layers are nicer. browntoe-> They have more than just base layers in merino.

They be itchier than IceBreaker fer suree. After a couple washes they get good though. IB is like silk out of the box. I think I am warmer in wool, because I do not get the chill when I stop. Valhalla Pure makes all their long undies from Powerdry.

The irony is that I worked today, for free, by choice, in the freakin' cold. Sucker. It was fun actually.

I was aware of that. My computer is too ancient to run XP though, and I also don't feel like giving MS $300 for a new OS. 98lite runs pretty smooth, and if you dith IE, you lose a lot of the security problems.
