Part of the light and fast style is just time. If you want to climb a route bad enough, that would be easier doing as a two day outing but only have a day. Your probably going to do it in a day. i know thats the case with myself a lot of the time.

While i would not go as far as to call it the "Climbing Bible". Theres some good stuff in there for what he is lookin to do. Self arrest, crevasse rescue etc. I would also go to the local library and see if they have the Illustrated Guide to Crevasse Rescue, though I guess being from Texas they probably won't.

Anyone want to go climbing tomorrow and enjoy this nice weather we are having. I was thinking index, but could be talked into just about anything.

Shit I better do that too cause I was coughing all day yesterday and blew chunks too.

how about cracked and caveman

I bruised/ possibly cracked a rib 3 weeks ago and I'm not sure what I did. I'll I know is one morning my left side hurt like hell and I can feel where one rib is indented a little compared to all the rest. Also sometimes it still hurts to raise my arm above my head.

hey, Weeks that I don't have mind terms I can skip wesnesdays easy and possibly mondays if the cse assignment isn't to long. I could skip not this up coming wesnesday but the one after. Also leaving tuesday nights is an option. The climbs you list nf shuskan, maude are ones I hope to do this spring-summer. Oh this is Eric Gratz if you didn't know that

Not to funny but here goes. My friend and I where taking esar course 2 and set up camp about 8:00 p.m. (Thats a 12 hour day of bushwacking) My parnter asks me If i want the backcountry gourmet scrambled eggs for dinner or apple crisp. I say apple crisp, he says he wants apple crisp so we agree to mix the two. Noithing like scramby eggs and apple crisp. Where not really friends anymore but whenever we see each other around campus all we have to say is crambly eggs and apple crisp and we both crack up. or Parnter and I are hiking along a trail we here a lady say "stop, stop, stop" Its getting louder sounds like shes talking to kids. Jason I think rei has ropes on sale. I don't believe that promo is a dry rope. I'm not positive on this but i think they have the mammut glaxey (sp?) on sale for around 120 (also 50$ off). I have it and its a good rope. I would by that and then use the money you save to buy a 30m glacier rope.

Cracked and I did the samething . We still made it up the ne buttress though and I thought you were a hardman. this winter i have gotten my stuff together 3 times for the south rib on guye but only once made it into a car and was turned around by rain at the pass.

So its time to add a few cams to my rack to allow me to start leading harder stuff. I currently have 1,2,3 tech friends. I'm looking at getting either a set of DMM, metolius power cams or Forged friends, along with a set of tcu's since I can get a deal on them and cannot on aliens. I'm not intrested in camalots because there heavy, and I pefer doing alpine routes. I did a search and it seams that a lot of people have costalots and would like lighter metolius or dmm cams. Anyone have dmm cams? what do you think? Some people where saying that the larger metoluis cams seem to walk. I used power cams twice off a parnters rack and don't remeber them walking but thats only two placements. I have to say that I'm leaning towards getting metolius power cams. Since these will be the last cam purchases I'll make in awhile please let me know if you think this is a bad idea and why. I can also see advantages to forged friends. Durable and I already have 3 tech friends so I can use those for horizontal placements. Thanks Eric edit if i only knew how to spell

Well, the solution is now clear. You need to buy two jackets. A marmot precip and then one with a hood that is the correct size. Cut the hood off of both and swap'em. P.s. your doing fine in that photo without goretex. fuck you look like scott backes

I think the question you need to ask is do you really need it. I mean its not like it rains at smith anyway, and if it did you would not be climbing. edit: If you do decide to make your own, I think neon green would match your wind pants or pink.

I had the same probelm with the a woodpecker once. I shot it everyday for a week with a pellet gun (It was a weak ass pellet gun). If my neighbors weren't so close I would have brought out the shotgun from day 1.

Have you read anyone other books by Follet? I was so impressed by the Pillars of the Earth. That I read some other book by him book right after and found they had a lot of the same themes, tones, etc
