Yeah, just what I want to be carrying in the backcountry...a gun. FUck, get a clue.

A friend in montana has a '74 cruiser. that thing ruled and got us into hyalite day after day. It was much less trouble driving that then the giant 2500 GMC sierra dave and I had borrowed.

It doesn't look cool, it looks idiotic. You look like a fucking soccer mom, you poser. Also, you might want to check up on safety ratings. Your SUK is less safe in most cases. They aren't designed for safety, they are simply trucks with a shitty canopy thrown on and some seats added. They crumple like a pop can in a bad accident. They have to meet much less stringent safety standards than cars, not to mention they have this tendency to do something called roll over, which particularly sucks and is the easiest way to get yourself killed. all of you on both sides of this need to stfu! I own a small SUV, i have my reasons and they're none of your business. I also have other vehicles. whatever. besides what's wrong w/looking like a soccer mom? i look pretty good at the soccer games! Minx, it was established early on in this thread that the majority of people don't have a problem with moderate SUKs. It's the giant dipshit mobiles such as Pukons, Suxpiditions, Ghettoslades, Nadgrators, Suxcursions and the like. I'm sure you look great at soccer games, but most men probably don't want to look like a soccer mom. They think they look tough driving their giant SUK but they just look like yet another yuppie poser driving a soccer mom mobile.

Vehicles are designed to crumple for safety for the same reasons you climb with dynamic ropes instead of static ropes. Yes, crumple zones are designed to crumple. This is what cars have. The tops of SUVs on the other hand are not designed to be crumple zones, due to the fact that they contain the heads of the occupants.

Thanks, dipshit, but mommy and daddy didn't buy me a car. I own my car, and a house too, thanks very much. I'm glad you are helping to keep up the roadwars mentality. Hell, maybe I should just buy a mack truck so I can run your sorry ass SUV over if we get in a wreck?

Your settings are saved according to your user account. When you are logged out, no user account, so no special settings, and thus the colors, etc. look different.

Yes, indeed they do. Thanks to idiotic 1970s legislation that has been upheld with the help of great guys like our president and others bought off by the auto industry, SUKs are classified as light trucks. Light trucks have to meet much less stringent emmision requirements (along with the always mentioned EPA fuel economy standards) than passanger vehicles do.

Lame. If I'm up in Canada in the next little while, I'll make sure to proudly display my "no iraq war" and "bush blows" posters in the windows. Now if they were slashing Texas license plates...that's another story...

I'm not a hippie, nor am I war protestor. In fact, I fit into a largely republican demographic. I, however, realize that GWB is, like Iain says, the wrong man for the job. He's a bad president, and I don't care what the rest of the sheep in this country think. Most of the people in this country don't look much further than their own pocketbooks or what popular consensus says they should think. GWB is bad for the environment, civil rights, and many other things that I care about much more than Sadaam Hussein. Approval ratings swing like a sail in the wind. It's a joke how easily people change their mind one way or another.

about 16k. You'll probably want a yak train to get you in there.

Give me a break, dude. Another way to feel good about themselves? There are plenty of good reasons to push for getting more and more of the giant SUVs off the road, and feeling good about oneself is not one of them. The reasons are numerous and obvious to anybody that wants to pay attention.

I too, have found this. I'm not sure if it could be a placebo effect, but I tend to belive not. On the other hand, I believe crap like echanacia, etc. is pure BS.

Some people dont like to accept that there are still plenty of things beyond the control of humanity and technology. Life (and the planet) have a way of equalizing things. Considering how interconnected the world is these days diseases don't stay in one place for long.

Bumpers of large SUVs no doubt.

Unfortunately he's not, I already asked him the same quesiton at one point.

You'd be hard pressed to find a car that's as big of a danger to other drivers as a suxpidition, slugburban, nadgrator, etc.

breakin' the law, breakin the law

This IS vandalism, Jim; which, I believe, is a crime in this state. I won't feel sorry for some sap who gets his ass kicked if caught. What gives you the right to ignore the law? This is pathetic. I think it's pathetic that every other vehicle in this city is some road hogging, gaz guzzling POS. Now, unfortunately, they are legal unlike stickering somebody's car. If somebody gets there ass kicked doing it, then, yeah, they were asking for it, but I still support those who do it.
