freeclimb, is that "you are dumb, why would you go out in to that mess" radar shot?

"I am talking about a single dump, like CO and WY are experiencing as we speak." But I thought it happened three days ago? Just given' ya shit man. I just posted cause everybody gets so bummed about our season. I've seen both sides of it, I'd much rather have a 500" average over the season with lots of dumps than live in a place where they get one big dump every 10 years, and it all blows away and slides anyway. It's not as bad here as we all make it out to be.

No, you are correct. And see my previous post. I call bullshit on the 7 feet of new snow in 24 hours regardless. Check the current weather and forecasts for CO right now. Scattered snow showers for the most part.

Did I miss something, or is this old news? I thought this was what the chimp garbled out the other night?
-
Dude...Baker got about 900+" inches last year. I bet that's equal to what CO got the 4 seasons before this combined. I wouldn't be ing

Hehe...I commented on this when somebody (was it you?) posted about it a while back. I call bullshit on it. Snow gets so unbelievably wind deposited in the rockies it's not even funny. I've been in areas there where telemetry and what not claims 2 feet of new snow and it's 6 inches, maybe. To make matters worse it all blows away the next day.

Head north for the best snow y'all. It seems this front is gonna be best in the north cascades, tapering off (and getting warmer) as you get further south.

See my post yesterday about the need for occasional violence and why pascifism doesn't work on this plaent. Einstien was certainly smarter than Ghengis and a good deal more evolved too. Unfortunately, Sadaam is not, and a lot of others like him aren't too. Until that changes, I'd rather kill him than let him kill me.

Always thought he was a fruitcake. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!! OK, now this is odd...I shit you not I had a *NIGHTMARE* last night that I somehow got an apple computer. I think it's cause I've been at work late the past week (and, thus, sitting at the computer that whole time) that I am having computer dreams, but it was quite disconcerting. Say what you say about macs and PCs, but I am just relating what I had in a dream, I can't control it! I was swearing at the thing and was ashamed I had it, and nothing was compatible and I didn't want anybody to find out. Bizzare...

Looks like a moderate sized cascade dump, whats the deal? I guess that's probably storm of the century size for CO, eh?
-
Hmm, trask...I think that makes me a gun fan now.

Yeah, nothin' quite like grabbin a big ass handfun of devil's club.
-
HAHAHHA.... jon and timmy are playing with Dru. He hit 10,000 earlier today while you weren't watching cc.com. That teaches you to leave the computer.

To add fuel to the fire, I'm sick of hearing about how america is bent on greed and money and america wants this and america wants that. What the fuck ever. Every other country in this world is fucked up and hates every body else too. For the most part they are more hateful then some claim we are. The muslims claim we are anti-muslim and they are peaceful. Shut the fuck up. If we left that part of the world alone it would degrade into a shitspewing hellhole of violence much worse than what is there today. I'm a peaceful person, much like most of the people in the world and the other anti-war folks. I, however am also a realist and realize that codling and trying to befriend everybody doesn't fucking work. Playing nice with shitheads and hoping they'll cooperate doesn't always work. Guys like Osama and Saddam and the rest of them will do what they will do no matter what our actions or motives are. If it wasn't us, it would be somebody else. Some people are evil and that's the end of it. There come a time where you have to say "some people are going to get hurt, but in the long run more people will be better off" and that's how it works. If it didn't work that way, we'd just be an everybody for themselves anarchy. I dream of the day where the entire world works in peace and everybody is prosporous, but WAKE UP people, that's a long way off. It's going to take more than political change, it's going to take socialogical and physiological change. We aren't a very evolved species in many regards, and until we become one, the only thing we can look out for is #1. As as a part of this society, I'm gonna have to get behind the guy who is going to protect me, plain and simple. DISCLAIMER: Do I think that GWB is the guy to protect me? No, in this case I don't, but I'm speaking towards the need to use military solutions to horrible problems in the general sense. Being against bush is one thing but being a pascifist (sp?) in this world isn't the way to survive.

NEWS FLASH: I'm becoming a hermit.

http://www.bask.info/news/read.php?id=498 Better question is who this guy is and he thought he needed a down suit for climbing mt. whitney!?

OK, this will be my last post on this (I hope) cause arguing about which shitty plastic $30 LED headlamp is better is about as pointless as can be. They both do about the same damn thing. I do, however, have to take issue with this one comment. Being able to change the angle of the light and simply moving the source of light are entirely different.

BD makes some gread headlamps I think. Most of them are too heavy for my taste, but they seem to be good stuff.

Last I had heard, snafflehound was beckey's general term for rodentia you find in the alpine. I've used the term to refer to marmots, mice, squirrls, and this huge scary fat rat I saw on the summit of Eldorado in the middle of the night once.

Cause I started this fucking thread and I'll post whatever the hell spray on it I feel like.

-Exposed on/off switch is going to turn on in your pack. Whatever, the tikka's on/off switch is the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. Most of the ones I've used require herculean strength to turn on, which might sound great, but it's a PITA wiht a glove on. I've never had the aurora turn on in my pack. Perhaps that's because I'm not a dumbass and don't pack it beneath everything. I could just as easily come up with some contrived scenario about how the tikka switch could be turned on as I could for the aurora. -Way higher warranty return rate than the Tikka. (like 5 to 1 at least) First, I'd like to see more than just your personal experience. Second, the aurora came out much later than the tikka, my guess is they've fixed any potential problems. I've never had one problem and don't know anybody who has. -More expensive. When I got my aurora it was $24.95. I guess now it's $29.95. The tikka is $28.95. Yay, one fucking dollar. for $34.95 you can have the zipka, but I dont know why you'd want that. -Stupid flashing modes. Yes, I hate this, but they are easily avoided. -Nice hinge to break. Hello!? bueller!? You ever tried using it. Actually being able to aim the damn thing is a huge benifit. that's the chief reason I hate the tikka. The cheap little ion even has an aimable beam. Also, the hinge won't break, it's a simple "bushing" that slides inside other plastic, with a metal screw and nut attaching it. I had it loosen once but you just tighten the screw a bit.

LOL...I'll be mighty proud if I can start a battle over which cheap ass 3 oz headlamp is better.
