    Tattoos

The ironic thing is tattoos are a total fratboy thing now. I think back in the day they might have been some sign of rebellion or counterculture but now adays I associate them with pretty boys with backwards hats rolling big tired jeep wranglers through college campuses. Yeah, over-use of the razor is no good. I definitely prefer the effort of a nice professional wax.

    Tattoos

I would agree. tattos are like girl's with pierced belly buttons now. I can't even remember the last girl I dated *wihtout* one.

    Tattoos

no tats. I'd rather make my body look unique by actually building muscle and staying in shape rather than drawing all over it.

    this just figures

Amen. Talking to right wingers about this fact is like talking to a brick wall, however. If the NRA had it's way we could all walk around armed with M-16s and rocket launchers.
  5. Blackberry pie is much better. And the only thing baseball does for me is fuck up the traffic every godadmn night in the spring and summer. Fuck you mariners, I wish you had left Seattle.
  6. Man, sounds like a royal clusterfuck at colchuck lake this WE. Glad I went elsewhere.
  7. giant cams make an excellent wilderness survival tool. Attach to length of perlon and use as a swinging death weapon.
  8. John, how does Colchuck NBC compare to triple couliors on dtail in length, difficulty, etc?
  9. good job, man
  10. Congrats!
  11. Glad to hear we left some ice for ya. We left at the same time, worked perfect. I was so pissed I didn't bring my skis up. That shoulder is a kick ass ski.
  12. Never mind. Nothing to see here
  13. slothrop, were you just up there this weekend? As of last weekend, they had closed the gate to prevent road damage.

    Puritans?

I'd be getting less sex and getting drunk less often, so I'd have to say no.
  15. Paco and I summited cutthroat via the e. fast coulior route early saturday. Conditions were thin, but good. I'll post some pics when I get them off my camera. The weather ended up working out perfectly with a clear and fairly cold night followed by most cloudy conditions saturday. If the sun had broken through things would have become an even bigger wallow-fest very quickly.
  16. Cool, looks likes fun. tons of skiers up near WA pass today. They looked to be having awesome turns on cutthroat, the kangaroo ridge area and blue lake/liberty bell.
  17. Tossup between the red and green, but I'd probably pick the red. more unclimbed schtuff in there.
  18. Trying to decide if I'm tired from today and will laze around tomorrow or if I'll take advantage of the not completely crappy weather and go out. Anybody have plans and looking for a partner?

    which vehicle?

Yeah, I was looking at that nissan too. freeclimb, one interesting thing to think about is the altitude you live at. I notice you are in UT. I'm not sure how it compares to CO (seems like it would be similar), but I know in CO, AWD turbocharged cars are very popular. forced induction (turbos) works very very well at altitude because the turbos are able to make up most of the different in atmospheric pressure that is lost at altitude. This is why if you take a turbo V6 car and a V8 car that are nearly identical speeds at sea level and have them race over a 10,000 foot pass, the turbocharged car will win.

    which vehicle?

I like the wagon, but the Jetta hp is only 115 (unless I go turbo, then the insurance does too). Do you know if the back seats fold flat and make enough room to sleep (like 6 feet worth)? Tjettas are pretty small for sleeping in, but you probably could. I can recommend either an A4 wagon or passat wagon however. Audi's AWD system is the best for snow/icy roads, no question. Subaru's is second. I've driven and owend multiple of both and neither will disappoint. VW's passat is the same system as AudiQuattro, alothough marketed as 4Motion. Both are dual torison diffs vs. open viscoused coupling on the subbies. The subbies, obviously, are a lot cheaper, so that's a benifit fer sure. The tacoma is cool, too, I've been lookinb, but the problem is the bed is ridiculously short on the 4 door model. Not long enough to sleep in, I determined.
