    Which 4WD SUV?

Lowriders are equally dumb, yes. Well, not *quite*. But lowrider trucks are *really* dumb. Talk about a worthless vehicle.

Can somebody more familiar with modified trucks please explain to me how doing something as pictured in the giant excursion picture helps you with clearance? It seems you still have pretty much stock clearance below the axles. It seems all this does is raise the body up, eh?

    Which 4WD SUV?

There is one of these roaming around bellevue and suburbia. Me and a couple of friends had spoted it several times. One day my friend sees the thing pull up to a keg steakhouse where he was eating. The guy hopes out of it and my friend said he was pushing 5' 2" max.
  4. It's downright suicidal. I'm living on the edge or sumpin'
  5. NO, it's when you are soloing while you both holding on to the same ice tool. It's a great way for couple to solo together. Yeah, it didn't make sense. I was with another person so I meant we would just solo at the same time. simul-solo = solo with company.
  6. between 1st (hidden) and second we belayed 3 pitches. 1st was steep snow/neve, 2nd was mixed ice/snow, third was WI. Belay for 1st pitch was a pin and small cam. belay for 2nd pitch was rock gear (mostly cams), belay for 3rd was 2 ice tools and a screw. Only pro I placed on the whole of those 3 pitches was a green alien mid way up the 3rd (WI) pitch. At the time I did you may have been able to get a screw in. Between the 2nd and 3d coliour, we simuled. It depends on how comfortable you are in steep snow and some ice, but if I did it again, I would solo or simul solo it. Every pitch I led, I ended up just pitching out without pro since I didn't feel threatened and it was fairly hard to come by.

  9. Yeah, Erik, you are right, but if I am compring two bags that weigh the same, cost the same, and both claim the same fill power, it would be nice to know which bag will actually keep me warmer. I too would like to pay as little as possible, but I dont like freezing either.
  10. Beck, would you like to elaborte why you think he is wrong? Maybe I'm weird, but I am interested in learning about these things. Whatever info I can get to buy better gear is good.
  11. Oh well, I suppose I can still puke and fight for free.
  12. Sounds awesome. I assume substances to smoke and girls to have sex with won't be provide?
  13. Has anybody else noticed that you'll somtimes get injuries, not even noticed them, then the pain starts as *soon* as you look at the injury and realize it was there? I cut my arm up on a crampon strapped to my pack last summer and ended up bleeding (unbeknownest to me at this point) for the last 30 minutes of the approac. I didnt' realize this until I saw the wound and at that point noticed the pain.

It was funny anyway. I just wanted to let you know you had the right to go beat down on car dealer ass if that was the case.

    Which 4WD SUV?

Umm, rob, in all seriousness, I hope you didn't buy the 4runner because you thought it had a 350hp V8? I'm hoping you made a typo because I'd hate to be the one to break it to you that it only has 235hp.
  16. fleb, check your PMs.
  17. One thing I'll never understand is the stupid paved trails. This is taking equal access too far. It might sound incensitive, but there are just places you can't go if you are in a wheelchair. It sucks, but no need to ruin nature more to try to get around this fact.

    Which 4WD SUV?

Is there an echo in here?
  20. where'd you see that? Maybe that's why so many people see webbing disappear up there. Still doesn't explain the disappearance of the quicklinks though! It was either in the portland rocks book or on the official climbing info posted on the board at the entrance off the highway. I'm pretty sure it was on the official info, but I definitely remember it as I thought it was a good idea at the time.

  22. LOL...wow,that's great, good job BD. So they assume that all of us who climb technical ice never climb technical ice where an approcah is required over snow!? According to them I should probably be keeping my viper's in a climate controlled glass case when not in use and only using them on farmed ice, eh?
