  1. The Whisperlite is the standard model. Takes white gas. Needs needle cleaning once a year. It really doesn't even need the cleaning if you prime with alcohol first. Good stove...reliable. Went to giga technology.
  2. You know where my cams have been. You don't want them, trust me.
  3. Thanks Fence.
  4. $20 for the SLK model $15 for a Whisperlite $25 for a Katadyn Combi filter with 20,000 gallons of life left e-mail crackbolter@yahoo.com
  5. Hypocritical huh.
  6. I just noticed that I said I was 6'1 and I used a regular length. That is incorrect. I use a long and reccommend a long for anyone over 6' and regular for anyone under 6'.
  7. I am 6'1" so I ave to use a regular length but if you are under 6' you will be okay with a regular length. Also take a look at the swallow. I use that thing for everything short of winter overnighters including carry overs. The other bag to look at is the Vireo. The bag is right around a pound and if you bring a down jacket or vest you can stay warm up to freezing temps. Perfect for climbs like Stuart NR or Slesse NEB or if you are just trying to save weight due to an overwhelming amount of hardware in your pack. Send me an e-mail customerservice@featheredfriends.com if you need any more questions answered. CB
  8. Someone left their shoes at the Gates on Sunday. Call the Feathered Friends retail store to claim them.

  10. It started as a 6" to 8" straight in crack at about 5.7 (?) for about 15 to 20' (no pro) to the entrance of the chimney which then you climb deep into the chimney. Sound like the same one you climbed Szy?
  11. Sajak, The chimney I climbed (followed BTW) was at least 5.8 and poorly protected. I sent a route description to the trip reporter before he went but it sounds like they went the easiest way up and skipped the top pitch. If you look in Viktor's new book you can see a chimney directly above where the route ends that heads up diagionally. It felt like 5.8 to me but I'm not a very strong climber. Maybe you should do a recon and investigate.
  12. szybzeshckownjskiis- the chimney wasn't 5.6 if it is the same one I climbed with that other guy.
  13. Feathered Friends just got a delivery of 20
  14. Not me man, $200 gets you Kelty. $300 get you the best and only one you'll ever own. Kind of hard to beat.
  15. Funny Trask, now that you mention it I noticed the dudes with the cardboard signs in front of my building have now written on their cardboard, "The money ain't for me, it's for Trask's hoes. Support Trask's hoes!!!" Then the gangsters around the corner keep telling me that the 8 balls are gettin good now that Trask is runnin the block. Way to go man!!!
  16. Yeah, I wish they could be cheaper but the labor cost to make them in Seattle is too high to make them cheaper. They can be bought with custom colors but you have to wait until the whole size run gets cut and sewn, then yours will get completed in the run first. The materials are pretty expensive as well. Schoeller stretch waterproof/breathable fabric and waterproof toughtec ain't cheap. The rest is leftover fabric but it all still needs to get cut and sewn just the same.
  17. Way, way cooler to bring the Scuttlebutt. Okay, sans the 6er of Pike and bring on the Scuttlebutt!!!
  18. I'm at work 8am til 6pm Mon-Thurs Make sure to bing a 6er or Pike IPA.....PMBox
  19. I'd sew cow dung on your coat for free Trask. No need to ask.
  20. No really, what does everyone think of them???? The foam liners are getting replaced soon. Die-cut EVA!!! If you already have a pair, come in for a replacement pair of liners at no charge. Eric, I'd beat you with a stick for $20.
