  1. Has anyone heard from mtnrngr (aka, duane)? Is he off serving his country, or what? Just curious and hope he's safe. Greg
  2. I've seen him throttle a snafflehound to death, stuff it in a crack that was too big for our largest cam, clip a draw to it and go...No shit, man.
  3. At last, we find Dan Larson's long-lost brother!! Greg

    Bad Knees

I saw my doc yesterday and he told me to ice twice a night for 10 minutes and take ibuprofen at night and in the morning. Worth a try and as long as you're icing you've got an excuse to sit on your ass on the couch! Greg
  6. Hey Bronco; You're headed out that way, why don't you take him under your wing?

  8. Word, thanks for the info.
  9. Dru- Is MEC still carrying the Inferno? My latest catalog (Spring) didn't have them listed. I realize not everthing in the store is in the catalog, but have seen them before. I'm thinking about getting a second pair and don't know a good source down here. Greg

Not much, but enough that they feel a touch more comfortable now than they did when I bought them. My $.02 (or .0302CAN) Greg The way I see it is if you fit them loose to begin with they will never stretch...its only when they are tight to begin with that they stretch, I dunno if this is actually true or not but it makes some kind of sense... Your $0.02 is now worth only $0.0299 Canadian as the CDN $ continues to rise against the weakening US $... You might be onto something there. Well, I'll have to put off my shopping trip to MEC until your dollar starts it's spiral downward again.

Good job Trask. Horsecock, it's not just for climbing anymore. Keep horsecock with you at all times in case you have an epic: Seattle traffic, long line at Starbucks, whatever. Munch on horsecock lovers!! Greg

These are the ideals that this country was founded on. Hold your government representatives in check on how they vote, what pork they push, and how they impair our freedoms. You are right, Dennis, we haven't had a war, but these are ways we can foster the future of what makes America great. I mentioned it before, but I think you would find "The Fourth Turning" a compelling read (see earlier post). The authors believe that Gen-X will be the policy-makers in the next global conflict and the Millenial Generation will be on the ground. Oh, one other thing: piss off, fucko! Greg

Dennis- Be nice to us, we are the ones who are going to fuck you out of your Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and shuttle you off to a home to die so we can spend more time at the cabin with Buffy and the twins throwing a stick to Spot and buffing our Lincoln Navigator that we bought with the money we got from selling YOUR house! Greg Proud conservative, gun-totin', trad climbin' Gen-X'er

Dennis I agree with some of what you say about my generation. However, Dennis, we were raised by Babyboomers. Where did we acquire these traits if not as a direct product of the parenting we received. You cannot vilify Generation X or the Millenial Generation (your "Gen-A-holes") without looking at those who raised us. Read "The Fourth Turning", by William Strauss & Neil Howe for an interesting look at how generations mesh and how they fulfill roles in the world at large. Need some reading glasses, old man? Greg

  25. Used a product called "Body Glide" on the hike up to Dragontail the other day and it worked great. I had blisters left over from the previous weekend and the Body Glide prevented further irritation. I'd give it a thumbs-up. Greg W
