  1. We got off to a slow start, with Jim N. and I wondering where everyone was. Alphabetkowski joined us later, and Alpine K, Mattp, Icegirl, Toast, and chucK rounded out our motley bunch of non-Tuesday beer drinkers.
  2. How about "Ben"? Has a nice ring to it, now doesn't it!

    Annoyances

Adultery. If one more of my friends confides in me that their spouse is having an affair, I'm gonna sca-ream! That and tailgaters, and people who don't use their turn signals.
  4. young guys... If you are feeling courageous, perhaps you should attend.... I'll be the drunk man in the corner with the metal pointy things on my feet.
  5. Whatchootalkingbout Amber....uh, I mean Dalius?
  6. Hey! Alpine K makes an excellent climbing partner!
  7. I'm in the process of moving my beer drinking activities there ofr the evening. Look for a guy with a pair of crampons and/or me with a laptop for looking at mountain porn pix at 7:45.

    bullshit!

Guess I ought to dust off that feature query again soon!
  9. I *think* that is why they call them "rap hangers" instead of giving them a different name.
  10. Timm@y any chance we can add this one to our emoticon arsenal? LOVE IT!
  11. So I get home from work at 2:30 in the morning, hoping for a little entertainment, perhaps a drunken posting about how great Pup Club was this week, and return to...... ????
  12. I'm real partial to the Eastern half of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Pretty much anything E of the Cascade Crest and above 5000 feet is awful nice country! Having said that, it is not the most desolate place to go hiking. Popular spots can be a bit crowded on the weekends, though if you are willing to go off the trail there are some spectacular gems out there, and no people! The only part of the ALW that is permitted is the Enchantments, Lake Caroline, and Eightmile Lake if I am not mistaken. A NW forest pass is required for parking though.
  13. I recently put in a request with someone from the Everett chapter that they post something every time they are going to be in the Icicle. It would be oh so nice if the Seattle chapter would do the same thing. Also the WAC and the Boealps if anyone out there can help. What would also be oh so nice IMO is if they would limit their group size, even if it means they are there more often. I've done almost no climbing there because of the crowds of climbing club classes I see every time I am in the area.

    Which 4WD SUV?

My honey gives me grief for wasting water washing his shiny new SUV. He dragged it thru some sagebrush this weekend getting out of the way of a guy on the dirt road. Guy on the road in his Chrysler Cordoba (this IS Eastern Warshington) was pleasantly surprised that the rich peole from the big city were not worried about scratching the shiny new car.

    what a disgrace ...

The Baghdad Dance Conservatory has also apparently been destroyed. Yes, it is our responsibilty to keep order in Iraq right now.
  16. It has been said that Baghdad is on the road to Damascus. It is, sadly, the logical next step.
  17. That was Teddy's, and we all had a problem with how smoky it was!
  18. I have sometimes wondered if those pilots know how many of us they have startled/are laughing their asses off at us.

    chatter

http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/jchat.php What did you do this weekend? Time to chat!
  20. Nothing too complicated about those questions.
  21. Yes, 2.5 methods: Heat--use a heat gun or a hair dryer. Don't overdo it. Solvents--acetone, alcohol, Goof Off. Apply sparingly, esp with the GO which also may remove paint. Wear gloves and do not huff. Stickers on windows are easily removed with a gently wielded razor blade. They may not all come off with the same technique.
