  1. Not knowing what "pizdec" means makes me go hmmm...
  2. I can tell you without stopping to count how many times I have used that term, out loud, or in my head, in the last week: 0.00 times ahem....bull shiat! ...just for the record... p.s. good to meet you allison...check out my new sig! OK Mr. smarty pants, let's see the proof! See related thread on your autosig....let's start a trend here!
  3. best one ever!

  5. ditto what Fern said.
  6. Ry, It's a different situation there. Getting "used this woman" out of "used this woman" is reading a lot into your words. One could make the same argument about your "sand in the clit" remark, but I for one find there to be a difference, and it's over the line. I know the remark was made in jest, and one level it IS funny, but well, if you think about it for a second, it's not really all that funny.
  7. Rob, When referrring to someone or something in a negative way, and then drawing a comparison between them and women or parts of wome, then yes, I do raise objections. It is offensive and demeaning, and letting it slide would suggest otherwise. It's not "having issues", its speaking out against things that are truly objectionable.
  8. hey now, if the guy is a jackass who wants to poop on a glacier, what makes you think the women want him in their club? Insulting someone by suggesting he is in some way like a woman=
  9. I should be leaving to go to the BBQ, but I have considerable experience in this area so I feel compelled to add the following poor excuses: It's too cold it's too hot it's too windy no you guys go ahead, I'll just lay here on the beach all day. Tomorrow we will go to the hospital for X-rays it's too steep it's too slabby my ankles are killing me Vantage is just too loose it's too exposed I think I'm going to throw up my gear is all wet because I accidentally threw my pack in the river my climbing partner gave me a cold my feet are swollen from the heat my ankles hurt my ankles hurt my ankles hurt
  10. Yes, pretty hot. A friend of mine works for a company that makes Ti exhaust systems for motorbikes, and we had a chat about this not so long ago. It seems to me that he also said that there are problems with casting Ti, and that it is typically, or perhaps always (sorry I forget) either machined or extruded. At this point in the design life of biners, they are made of cast items. BTW steel biners are still in use in other applications where weight is less of an issue.
  11. Ti is hard to work. It melts at a ridiculously high temperature, 3034 F versus Aluminum at 1221 F.

ERIK IN HIS FRENCH MAID OUTFIT IS AID.
  13. It's all done. Thx. Outcome: Never, ever trust a hangtag on a pack to be honest about volume!! Also good question: you guys want to see it in ci or L?
  14. My apologies sobo. I need something more precise than your rough guesstimate system, thx.
  15. Can someone give me the formula for this? Thx!
  16. the following things are coming: meat (Greg) condiments (ehmmic) potato salad (me) Beer??? Jon??? we need the following things: Buns toppings (lettuce tomato cheese and onion) plates forks if there is a keg coming then cups Briquettes or wood?
  17. I really dig "Mamy" brand Pho noodles, especially when enhanced with a bit of miso and some veggies and meat! Pho noodles have the benefit/detriment of not being fried so they are lower in fat. I like cup of noodles better than straight ramen, especially for BC breakfast. Pure power food!
  18. I remember this one time at band camp, or was it Girl Scout Camp, when I was like, well, eleven, we did this trip around Mount Olympus. We hardly argued about which Ti pot was better or whatever. It was more like, "are you going to finish that Mac and Cheese, or WHAT?"
  19. My buddy Doug (Tim you met him last spring at the Martini Bar) had it done 2 years ago. I was his seeing eye dog for the trip to BC to have it done. I drove him around for less than 24 hours and then he took over. Painless, short recovery, new eyes. He's a licensed flight instructor among other things and has no problems with altitude in unpressurized airplane cabins.
  20. Beck, bless your heart, many of us have as much bc experience as you....or more. Shut uP!
  21. One leader fall ever. 15 feetish on bolts. No groundfall, just a cuppla broken ankles. A lifetime of pain and mobility problems. My claim to fame, pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Pete, You really ought to get an x-ray. Depending on what kind of broken bone you might have in there, it might require a little surgery. If you think I don't know what I am talking about ask Thinker if his partner who fell on the desent of SCW is out of his cast yet! Best of luck with that, and please just take the time to get it looked at. It could make a difference in the long run.
  23. Dat's gotta be DW on the right, who's the guy on the left? Is that our esteemed colleague Erik with a K perhaps?
  24. Big hug to all. So Eddie you are bring ing the heavy anti bear gunnage for the walk out...what are these hapless scawny mates to do if they see a bear in the next ten days?
