Wow. I don't recall getting moderating powers. Nor do I want them. But yes, good job for noticing that I was not the only one finding your response offensive. Relax, dude, really, the world isn't out to get you...
-
Whatever. Notice your post was edited? Your first response was particulary caustic. Anger management, prozac, heavy sedatives, a group hug? Try something...
-
Ouch, dude. That's mean.

Yes, curious about your glue issues on your ascensions. After my last time out (used total of about ten days) the glue balled up and left many spots (probably about 30% of the skins total area) completely bare. Hmmm, is this similar to what you experienced? Was this the reason others have returned theirs?

So what is the ethic when it comes to climbing booty found at the crags? I've heard talk about peices being 'fixed' on routes, but how could one tell? Anyways, found a tricam on a locking biner 40 feet up at Broughton and I took it. Should I put it back?

Shit dude, I'm going to buy a sled and start charging kiddies in the sno-park lot for rides to the top. Come on... 4K of vertical, $20 a ride. Or perhaps tow a sled for an increased capacity? How about a snow cat?
-
No kidding. On Adams a few weeks back there were sled tracks up at Lunch Counter. And all over the Worm Flows. Uck.

Sno-park passes are honored in neighboring states, but buy it in the state your car is licensed to. My bud bought a season pass last year in Washington but has Oregon plates. He had to argue with the ranger not to get a ticket...

Farmers Cleanex = Air Hanky = Plug one nostrile, blow, repeat for other side. Or I could be wrong.

Rock newbie seeks fellow gapers for climbing top-roped Portland crags, Rocky or Broughton. Anyone game? How 'bout this weekend? Got rope and stuff for anchors. Have spent plenty of time climbing indoors and tired of that shite...

My buddy just got back from three weeks in Japan. He kept noticing all these hip and trendy clothing stores selling climbing-name-brand chalkbags. No shoes, not harnesses, no climbing gear whatsoever. A little miffed, he goes on his way until he starts noticing peeps wearing these chalkbags all around Tokyo. Turns out they are quite the popular way to carry your cell phone and stuff...

Ok, I'm sure everyone has seen them - oversize poster / photo of the North Cascades, or Rainier, or Everest - with the peaks labeled above, white top and bottom margins. Does anyone know where to find these for sale? All those I've seen credit the photographer and artist, but have no company or contact info. Or does no one know what I'm talking about... Thanks.

I'd have to disagree on this. Global warming does not necessarily imply that every area of the globe will see an increase in temperature, only that some do (and some hella sensitive places too, like the Antartic). This has far reaching effects, only one of which is observed decreases in temperatures in certain areas. AlpineK - and so actually, we might have global warming to thank for all of this snowpack in the NW lately...

Almost did it two weekends ago. Gave up at about 10K because of high winds, and well, we were really there to ski. Right, and we made it a three day trip because of an afternoon start and the fact that the sno-park was not accessable and we parked 2.5 miles away (should be melted out by now - almost was on the way back to the car). Its long, but yeah, it could be done in two. Or rather to answer your question, I'd do it and if I did it again, I would try for two days.

Mt Adams SS via Smith Butte Sno-Park could be done.

I heard about a British study recently that indicated smoking pot was equivelant to moderate to light exercise (guessing increased heart rate?). Time for some training anyone?
