Pheeew. My creativity lacks these days, mother jokes are about all I can dish out.

So kids are out. Are mothers still fair game? Hmmm.
  4. Hey, Mister Moon is right! Jon, Tim, please cancel my membership and refund my dues for the remainder of the yar. Thanks.
  5. quote: Originally posted by sk: and maybe rockybutte Wow, considering driving up to P-Town for Rocky Butte? This amazes me. But alas, that is probably where I'll be (or Broughton) as I won't be going far. PM me if you want to climb.
  6. Anything but The North Face...
  7. SWEDEN !
  8. Speaking of Saabs, anyone want my 9000T? All works good 'cept the transmission. Such a sad sad day.
  9. Have a bad experience on your bike on the way to work this morning?
  10. Let's talk to the federal courts. One forest past, UNDER GOD, indivisible...
  11. Oy. There's five shiny bolts up a 35' pitch, putting them about six feet apart... Weak.
  12. A buddy of mine has a Snow Peak GigaPower (http://www.snowpeak.com/gear/gs100.html). Super light and small, easy to pack, easy to set up quick. Used it to snow camp this spring. At altitude (7K) in relative cold (about freezing) we went through two regular sized canisters to melt about 6 liters of water. Doesn't seem to get as hot as my wisperlite. Great for summer though.
  13. It'll have your friends begging for more!
  14. Cliff's version of Gu is 99% brown rice syrup. Flavored w/ chocolate, rasberry syrup, strawberry syrup, etc. Still kinda icky.
  15. quote: Originally posted by hollyclimber: pound for pound, GU isn't that weight efficient, since it is liquid. Hmmm, isn't it all pretty much sugar? Just because it's gu-ey doesn't mean there's extra weight because they've added water...
  16. Yeah, plenty of spray. I like that. But then there are pub clubs and people hooking up for climbs online and buying and selling gear - all of which is pretty far from anonymous.
  17. Anyone gunna be there around 7? I've got to be on my way again by 9, so I hope I catch some of y'all.
  18. Top. Lucky Lab @7. I'll be the dude peddlin' his ass off to get there because my car's broke.

  20. I'm in. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are my best days. Anywhere East or West side works. So long as its not in the burbs... Lucky Lab and Pro Row have been done and are good. Lompoc also works. I'd be up for Salem on occasion, but it just seems so far to drink regulary. Besides, my car just fell apart and its a long ride.
  21. right next to the 'any' key on your keyboard...
  22. Pascal, check PMs.
  23. Relatively clean and smooth snow on the SE ridge of MS and on the slopes above Camp Lake last weekend. Few inches of fresh Saturday night. Still a fair amount of snow, but melted out on many of the ridge lines. The Prouty looked pretty nice from where we were at.
  24. Thanks all for the tips. Ended up approaching from Camp Lake. Very long traverse. Need to find a faster and more motivated climb/ski partner and go back. No snow from Pole to Soap Creek, patchy until above treeline. Hardly saw a soul.
  25. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: Here's a shot on the summit. How many have ever seen the shack? Probably buried right now............ Sweet pic. When did you take that? I've only seens bits and peices melting through, even late season. They used to ride asses up the SS route.
