So if we go to Grady's can one of you locals give directions to avoid the potential cluster**uk?
-
Did they accept their failure or blame other people/parties?
-
Also, highlight that they use the fact that people buy the pass as evidence that it is working and should be continued. They require it or try to ticket you. How does this logic work?
-
It would also be nice to know if the Forest Pass fees subsidize the roads used by logging companies.

We're just showing how much fun we had so we can have a bigger gathering next week. Don't you ever rush off to get photos from a climbing trip developed at the 1-hour place so you can relive it and share with people who didn't go.
-
Any of the other photos turn out Matt?

Nice. We just had sun showers over here in Seatlle. The crocuses, daffodils and tulips are popping up out of the ground too. Spring in Seattle, winter in Woodenville. Go figure.
-
Cool article. Thanks for the link.

Would never have guessed that was your bro. He doesn't look like you or your sister.
-
Okay, Tom. Since you live in the neighborhood you decide and we'll show up. Just please post the final address so we can figure out how to get there.

Trucker sees a sign while driving down the freeway. "Balogna sandwiches $3; handjobs $1" Pulls in at the station and asks the lady inside, "Are you the one who gives the hadjobs?" "Yep. You want one?" "No thanks. But could you wash your hands before you make me a sandwich?"

Guess I'll check city search next time. Nothin showed up in Yahoo. But then I spelled ale house as one word. Stupid search engines... Someone else needs to call a start time so Tim knows when to show up. I can't be there until 8:30 and figure you'll want to start drinking earlier than that. Here's the info: Wedgewood Ale House & Cafe 8515 35th Avenue N.E., Seattle Phone: (206) 527-2676

Hey Alpine Tom - where's the Wedgewood Alehouse?
-
Seems like freedom of speech. Hope the guy doesn't shop there anymore if the place doesn't burn to the ground.
-
Pretty funny Dru. BTW do you actually get work done? You seem to surf all the sites out there for the good stuff.
-
Weren't people talking about someplace in Wedgewood or Montlake?

You can also buy an inexpensive come-along and set it up by yourself very easily. When I used the short haul method I had to wait until my roommates were around to set it up or tighten the line. Definately use the cardboard on the trees. Take it off periodically to make sure that little critters don't find it to be a great home for a new colony, which can also hurt the trees.

You may get lucky and find something in the Lee Vining canyon.

Competition between you and S.O. is a bad dynamic. So what who climbs harder. It doesn't matter. If you both really cared about eachother you'd be on the same team and not trying to out do eachother. You're treading towards dangerous ground. Both men and women have delicate egos, particularly when something challenges our view of ourself. If she took your comment as a challenge to her ability as a climber or partner for you, perhaps you should discuss that and not try to simply put her in her place by winning the argument. But then if she's just some Betty on your arm to you...

I went for the first run of the season on Saturday and my quads felt like lead weights and my quads are pretty sore. I've been biking through the winter and doing a little hiking/climbing, so I'm wondering what the problem was. I'm in good cardio/endurance shape, so is the issue a matter of using fast twitch vs. slow twitch muscles?
-
Whatever... Then I vote for D&H. It looks like we're going somewhere East of I-5 on Thursday so Tim can join in the fun. History shows we can't go to the same area two weeks in a row, so we certainly cannot go there twice in one week!

Like the others said it's great in August. Is usually hotter in the days and nights. But since it is at 9000 ft. the nights are chilly most of the time. I was there in late July last summer and it was perfect. Not to hot during the day and not too cold at night. In late Sep/Oct. it was pretty cold in the shade to climb, and the nights were very chilly. Since this was a thread on spring roadtrips, I assumed you were going then. The road usually opens in mid-late May and there's still snow on most of the domes then. But I know people who had nice snow approaches to the alpine climbs like Cathedral Peak last summer.

So I guess this means two pub clubs this week. Maybe we are becoming a drinking group with a climbing problem.
-
I thought it was at the D&H too. If I remember correctly (don't feel like looking up the thread) the men on this site suggested that they be allowed to call the location. Just for the record....
