  1. super job guys! i'm glad i won a copy before i left town.
  2. awww! hello kitty!
  3. who wants to drive 3 hours from seattle to ski on that pile? you might as well go the extra 2 and cross the border for some REAL skiing.
  4. i agree. that thread was pretty freaking harmless. yet amusing.
  5. Probably didn't want to clash with Snoboy's truck i think he clashes anyway.
  6. e-rock, i knew i could count on you for setting these fools straight.
  7. better than horsecock!
  8. that would be such a beautiful tour!
  9. also doesn't mean you won't slide off the road when you hit an ice patch! i know snowcrummy pass isn't the best, but it's better than no skiing at all! (and alpental actually deserves some props. )
  10. thanks. will do. any comments on the points near the toe of the foot? (not the frontpoints.) they m10 seems to be similar to the sabertooth in that respect, and i've had someone tell me that this is very useful. really, though???
  11. old thread, but i had questions. this guy was talking about his G14's. anybody using them to climb harder ice or mixed routes? or at that point would you switch to something beefier (like the rambocomp evo 3) or maybe something "in-between" like the new M10's?
  12. BARRYVOX!!! now if i only had some extra money laying around to buy one with ...
  13. for a performance fit i need a 22 shell. we called garmont directly after looking at their brochure in the shop. they say the smallest shell they make is a 23, but what's worse is that the smallest shell they make is actually a 24. look at the shell and you will see it says 23/24. they try to squeeze four boot sizes (including half sizes, i mean) into one shell! how bunk is that? i did actually try on the 23/24 ... and i was swimming. i also asked the rep last week during our clinic and he said "23" will be the smallest they have next year too. oh, well; i'll live. and garmont won't get any money from me.
  14. huh? you can't even get altitude sickness on that wimpy little pile of choss!
  15. orange boots? ugh!!!
  16. what kind of skis you using to make turns on that crud?
  17. i ain't no bro but that's the word on the street. most current ISO downhill boots, too. go jib.
  18. telluride ain't boulder. and fremont ain't the center of the universe either. why are some of you comparing lift-serviced skiing in colorado with backcountry skiing in washington? imho, you get more better when you hike for it ... but that doesn't mean the lifts aren't fun -- or useful for accessing "non-lift-accessed" terrain.
  19. no, i haven't, and i didn't say i did. but if you'd like to send me ... oh, say $400 i'll be happy to pay the difference to get the set-up and report back to you firsthand.
  20. i think it really is a great little state. BEAUTIFUL out here, for sure.
  21. it is. they sell it at the telluride mountaineer. pretty funky looking. haven't heard anything about it yet, though. i don't think the owner's gotten to ski it yet.
  22. i believe the toe pieces are actually different. if i understand what i've read and heard, the titanal (what dustin is calling the diamir) doesn't really have an independent toe-release mechanism; whereas the freeride does. other than that and the din setting, i think it's just the weight of the titanal (without the brakes) being the big difference.
