  1. I bootied a yellow C3 on the first pitch of Prow/Wash. Col. I ended up using it a ton all the way up the route. Very useful then. Can't say I've used it since.
  2. Aliens, TCU's, and slider nuts.
  3. My mother couldn't clean my red tricam at Lover's Leap a few years ago. I didn't ask, but she replaced it. I overcammed my buddies #6 camalot at the Creek. Spent a ton of time trying to get it loose to no avail. I replaced it. User error. Every situation is different. Those are my only two examples. Cheers. Jimbo
  4. Cool. Now I just have to get down there and aid climb Mescalito before it gets a bunch of free climbing bolts added. Just about anything is better than reading another episode in the As The Ozone Turns saga. Cheers. Jimbo
  5. Thanks for the detailed account. I broke tib/fib & ankle a number of years ago, and it was a pretty quick recovery, (12 weeks sounds about right), with absolutely no lingering side effects. Sucks to lose the Cascade alpine season, but my bet is you'll be fine, physically, in the long run. As far as the mental thing goes, I suggest getting back on the horse and ride. Cheers. Jimbo
  6. Dude! I've been riding a splitty for 10 years and never seen one snap like that. I'm assuming a previous injury to the board caused it to snap while putting skins on? Nice pics. Cheers. Jimbo
  7. Still no ride Geoff? D-town season is about here! Cheers. Jimbo
  8. The whole Liberty Bell group is good to go for climbing. Plenty of snow make the approaches a bit easier. Cheers. Jimbo
  9. North side Baker trailhead, Heliotrope Ridge, will be hard to get to on Memorial Day. See link: http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/mbs/conditions/road_conditions_report.shtml Scroll down to FSR #39, Glacier Creek Rd. South side should be good by then. Cheers. Jimbo
  10. Wayne, I'm down if you still need a partner. Weather looks hopeful. PM me. Cheers. Jimbo
  11. Be aware that the road is washed out 1 mile in. This adds approx. 7 miles of additional hiking, on a paved road. August is the estimated time of repair. Cheers. Jimbo
  12. Fun times had by all. Glad I could represent the snowboard faction. All we were missing was a monoboarder! Good meeting everyone, and great skiing. Cheers. Jimbo
  13. to Chris Olson. My brother-in-law. thanks for the write up Mike. Cheers. Jimbo
  14. Obsession?
  15. I'll be there Friday night. Looking to skin and shred Sat. & Sun. Only a couple of days shy of 100 this year! I'm good for some firewood for supplies. Cheers. Jimbo
  16. Call me crazy, but dat don't look like a splitboard to me. Werd. Jimbo
  17. Jeez...that was like 3 1/2 months ago. All I can recall at this point is that we had a great time on a really fun route. Shit ton of snow climbing to some cool rock climbing with sharp pointy things on our hands and feet. Oh yeah, it was really windy. Especially in the rappel notch. Sorry I can't be of more help. Cheers. Jimbo
  18. I have it on good authority that the Town Walls are dry for the most part. I know nothing of the approaches, and it sounds as though parking may be an issue. Go get some! Cheers. Jimbo
  19. Howdy all. I'm looking to pick up some skis for my daughter. Looking for something in the 140cm range. Already mounted with bindings would be ideal. Looking for boots as well, but don't have her size right now. Cheers. Jimbo
  20. Great day out! Nice to meet you guys too. That lower right hand line was super fun. Cheers. Jimbo
  21. Yo Wayne. I'd be down for some ice on Friday or Saturday if your available. Index, or maybe this... PM to get ahold. Cheers. Jimbo
  22. Pyramid looking peak in your pic is Larabee.
  23. Definitely not Alpental. Mtn. Loop Hwy area.
  24. Found this today about an hour drive from Seattle. Not climbable yet, but by Friday should be good to go if it doesn't get too much more snow dumped on it. Cheers. Jimbo
