catbirdseat Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I knew I shouldn't have gone to my folks house over the holidays. My mom was constantly feeding us and I must have put on 5 pounds. Gotta hit the gym and do some running. Anyone else gain over the holidays? Quote
RobBob Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Five pounds...the actual gain has occurred two weeks after the eating. Already back to running, but 3 weeks off caused the knees to hurt on the first long run. We need a fatboy emoticon. Quote
Bob_Clarke Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Five pounds isn't enough to get any panties in a bunch. It's January fergodsakes. The extra weight once in a while is good for the tendons and ligaments. Enjoy the training - Eat more ice cream!!! By March we'll all be pulling down those skanky manky problems and sending hard lines!! Quote
allthumbs Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Speaking of fat - know how to make 5 lbs. of fat look good? Quote
catbirdseat Posted January 9, 2003 Author Posted January 9, 2003 No, Trask, please tell us. Put it in a pair of breasts? Quote
catbirdseat Posted January 9, 2003 Author Posted January 9, 2003 "Five pounds isn't enough to get any panties in a bunch" Â Happens every year and I always lose it and I always complain. Bitch, bitch, bitch. Quote
Bob_Clarke Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Catbirdie - what are you doing to shed said five pounds? I could use the advice. Or can I just bitch about it? Quote
Bob_Clarke Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 already did, the exlax didn't work either. what next? Quote
allthumbs Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I find a grenade helpful, or in your case, perhaps a gerbil to loosen it up. Quote
sk Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 ropegun 2002... whenever I start to put on weight I seperate my carbs from my protein... seems to help me alot. So you either eat like rice and veggies, or meat and veggies... not rice and meat. for me the weight seems to drop as soon as I start paying attention to what I am putting in my mouth. SUGAR IS EVIL Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I think I LOST 15 lbs over the holidays. My wife left, my parents didn't have me over, my kids left with my wife. I got sick. I couldn't move or eat. It sucked. Quote
RobBob Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 sc, Â maybe i need to pay attention more...I thought you were um, uh...nevermind Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Oh my god that's so not funny cuz you know it actually happens. People get dumped around Christmas, lose their kids, parents won't talk to them. Â Bobo, what are you trying to say, my special friend? Quote
glen Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Maybe you should just eat some of Trask's green bacon... kinda like green eggs and ham... Quote
ivan Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 i found lugging 70 pounds of crap all over mt. rainier in snow up to my ass quite effective in keeping the holiday weight off (despite the fact that much of what i was carrying was food that i spent all my off hours consuming)...now if only there had been one damn sunny day the whole week... Quote
Winter Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 TR? Â Here's to the getting sick method of weight loss. Doctor says my liver functions were abnormal. He prescribed . Quote
offwidthclimber Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 i've dropped about 16 lbs of beer gut since T-Day. Â no more beer 6 days a week. Quote
pope Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Jesus Christ! Counting calories? The only thing more pathetic is discussing your eating disorder on a MOUNTAINEERING BULLETIN BOARD. I thought I had bookmarked cc.com and I'm getting Oprahchat.sandinyerpanties.com! Hey, maybe we can do make-overs and trade recipes next. Quote
