Statistically, this die off costs them just under 2% per presidential election nationally. They even went so far as to say that hispanics, women, and science might even be important. They did not mention blacks or gays - one can only go so far, so fast. The far Right wing of the party will shout down the voices of reason for a while, but voting eventually corrects any problems a party isn't willing to take on. I have no idea with the GOP's going to do with the Born Agains. They made their pact with that devil: Good luck with that. Quote

They are now busy drafting an agenda they call "No Excuses" for heir legislatures. I leave you to imagine how different and flexible its going to be compared to their efforts to date. The rest of the country will simply need to move around them like the pilons they are - it seems they are so 'right' that self-reform isn't going to happen. Eventually, the country will tire of them collecting a paycheck and not showing up for work, and gut them in future elections, but that could take a while. This is what happens when you try to save a country for a guy who probably never existed 2000 years ago, I guess. Quote
