Bachmann: "What are we talking about?" Gringrich: "I talked about that in my 17th book." Paul: "Chemtrails!" Edited November 10, 2011 by tvashtarkatena Quote

Jim Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Today the media narrative is "let's take another look at Newt" LOL. :lmao: Quote
j_b Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 What I find disturbing about this is there are plenty of reasons to dismiss Perry on the basis of his crazy beliefs and policies; yet, we are supposed to think he isn't presidential material because he had a brain fart during the dog and pony show? No, we're supposed to think he isn't presidential material because of his crazy beliefs and policies. The fact that he had a brain fart on national TV just shows that he doesn't even know what he's trying to say. Quote
rob Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Or that it wasn't even his idea to begin with. How many fucking "advisors" do these jackasses have? Who are we really electing? RON PAUL 2012!!! Quote

If he wins the primaries and becomes the nominee, he will have to face Barry in (most likely) three presidential debates. The American people will have ample opportunity to decide if his "performance" at these debates excludes him from the privelege of serving as President of the US. It's a democratic process - something you seem to fail to comprehend, though claiming to understand and support. Quote

The fact that he had a brain fart on national TV just shows that he doesn't even know what he's trying to say. Lots of people have brain farts including the best among us. It means little in terms of their potential to be effective leaders. Being a well groomed spokesperson doesn't make one a thinking person (cue Reagan, even though he wasn't that polished) Quote

Yeah, so we don't know who we are electing behind the curtain but in your immediately preceding post you argue that his performance during debates is fundamental to the democratic process? You are a moron. Quote
rob Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Sure, because if the candidate is just a trained monkey, you want to make sure his handlers are competent, at least. I mean, if it's all a show, then you vote for the best actor, don't you? O'bama! Quote

Your problem is the complete inability to handle complexity, which is why the real world gives you so much trouble. Quote

KaskadskyjKozak Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I mean, if it's all a show, then you vote for the best actor, don't you? Much of it is for show. These guys are prep'd and propped up, and fed answers, told how to gesticulate, what facial expressions to make, etc. Some more than others. It's all part of the great dog and pony show. Enjoy. :-) My impression of Barry is that although he is subject to all these forces, he actually has a core of capability in natural self-expression, articulation, etc. Perry... not so much. It's up for the voter to decide if, and to what extent that matters. Quote
