Peter_Puget Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Americans do not trust the major tv news operations in the country- except for Fox News. Our newest survey looking at perceptions of ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News finds Fox as the only one that more people say they trust than distrust. 49% say they trust it to 37% who do not. link- (Caution J_B Do not open without your meds!) Hugh Conway Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 AMERICANS ARE FUCKING RETARDED? WHO KNEW? Quote
j_b Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Not surprising at all but thank you PP for showing us once again that regressives are lemmings who'll trust corporate shills that manipulate their emotions so easily. In turn, progressives distrust all corporate news, including those that regressives call 'librul', and for good reasons. Quote

Fairweather Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I hear ya Brother. What a great place America would be if we just got rid of all the lemmings. An old idea, promoted by one of j_b's idols: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Bernard_Shaw#Support_for_eugenics "You must all know half a dozen people at least who are no use in this world, who are more trouble than they are worth. Just put them there and say Sir, or Madam, now will you be kind enough to justify your existence? If you can’t justify your existence, if you’re not pulling your weight in the social boat, if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little more, then, clearly, we cannot use the organizations of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive, because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself. [68]" "...He wrote that "the only fundamental and possible Socialism is the socialization of the selective breeding of Man";[69] personal incomes were to be made equal, thus allowing the selection of partners "without consideration of rank or wealth".[70] At a meeting of the Eugenics Education Society of 3 March 1910 he warned of the need to use a "lethal chamber" to solve the problem. Shaw said: "We should find ourselves committed to killing a great many people whom we now leave living, and to leave living a great many people whom we at present kill. We should have to get rid of all ideas about capital punishment." Quote

JosephH Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Karl Rove banked on the blind stupidity of the average red stater and basically never lost them once. He played independents quite well too, until he fell asleep at the wheel in 2006. Those stats speak precisely to why Karl was so damn successful - morons who will vote against their own economic interests and rights when someone waves a red flag of social and religious issues in front of them. Not even. 2/3 of Americans never watch cable news. At best, this poll is confirmation that regressives who watch FOX believe the crap shoveled at them. Quote

billcoe Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I never made it past disbelief in the first paragraph "Americans do not trust the major tv news operations in the country- except for Fox News." I could only believe that Fox news alone would make or posit that kind of a lie claim. Quote

JosephH Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Ever lived in MA? I have. Leaving Boston, the minute you cross I-495 you might as well be in Arkansas until you get to the Berkshires. No surprise there. Quote
