prole Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 New polls suggest McCain and Obama are running neck and neck. If McCain wins, will any of you be making any drastic lifestyle changes? Joining a militia? Going underground? Seeking opportunities in sunnier climes? Re-enlisting? Quote
WylDanimal Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I'll be buying guns, chewing tobacco, driving my 4x4 and blaming the terrists for my short comings... Quote
marylou Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 New polls suggest McCain and Obama are running neck and neck. Â Really? We must not get our news from the same sources, because I heard today that some polls have Obama up by as much as ten points nationally. Quote
wfinley Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 If Palin wins I'm joining the Alaska Independence Party and will vote for secession. Quote
WylDanimal Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) AP poll shows neck and neck... Â I don't know what the electoral breakdown is, but Obama is still fairly comfortable... Â Â Plus the "media" has to keep it close. More ad revenue!! Â Edited October 22, 2008 by WylDanimal Quote
murraysovereign Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Bloomberg report on AP poll showing 44/43 split Quote
ashw_justin Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Plus the "media" has to keep it close. More ad revenue!!Don't touch that dial folks! "Overtime" would probably be good for business too. Oh no wait, maybe this is just the liberal media making sure that the dems don't get complacent. Oh no I got it, it's to make sure that nobody votes for that damn Nader again. What is the spread across all of the polls now? Is it higher than most of the supposed individual margins? I guess this means we can go back to ignoring them. Quote
marylou Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Here's a ridiculously long list of what the polls are saying. Note as you scroll down that there are only a couple dozen sources and that it shows historical polling for the last few months. Â linky Quote
Mal_Con Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Well maybee both 1000 and McCain will pass :: Quote
CollinWoods Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 People say the same things every year. "I move to cannada" "Our country will be runed" and all the other stuff people say, i dont think it will be much differant no matter who wins. Quote
Buckaroo Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 The AP poll is a scam, their trying to deflect for when they try to steal it. Â the best poll is real clear politics, it takes all the major polls and keeps a running average, currently Obama by 7 Â LINK Â the only thing that matters though is the electoral college currently Obama 286, McCain 160 (270 to win) Â LINK Quote
Buckaroo Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 For the first time in my life I'm seriously considering moving to Canada. I'm between jobs and paying $400 mo health ins. Plus there's way more openings in Vancouver for my profession. Â Of course Canada is not too far behind the US, and if they implement the NAU like they want it will all be one country anyway. Quote

Dechristo Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 McCain will suddenly and miraculously be able to raise his arms above his shoulders...in a victory salute. Quote
akhalteke Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I will probably be in Iraq or Afghanistan. Same as if Obama gets elected. Quote
TheJiggler Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 If McCain wins I predict a disolution of NATO. Quote
Doug Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 If McCain wins then I guess Palin will be VP and Obama and Biden go back to the senate. Everything will pretty much be the same. Quote
