Some seemingly good pieces up to 7+ ft of all diameters. There was a fellow in town who had the whole heat treating setup and could take raw bamboo, cure, shape etc and create these amazing rods. Small thin pieces are used for brochette's (shikabob). A friend of mine that had a house on Lake Kivu would use babmboo for the main mast on a makeshift sail boat.
