catbirdseat Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I'll bet that instead of Gatorade, they drink Cool-Aid. Quote
olyclimber Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Flavr-Aid (the harsh-tasting alternative to Kool-Aid). Its definately a cult, and they've got Mr. House. Watch a few of the videos. Quote
crackers Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 they've got vince anderson, kelly cordes, a bunch more...and everybody who drinks the juice! I drank it, and i'm going to go have more right now! Quote

Weekend_Climberz Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Gym Jones.....the Jane Fonda of next generation? http://www.gymjones.com/ Dude, Mark Twight rules! I would love to sit on his porch and have him call me a pussy! Quote
BillA Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Sunday's crossfit sounds brutal. Damn, fucked up my back doing crossfit last Friday. Gonna have to take it easy tonight...torture torture torture. Quote
NYC007 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 sundays was a hard one. Did leave much gas for the pull ups today. Quote
crackers Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 we did thrusters / pullups instead of just pullups. i fell off the bar at 12 minutes. Quote
crackers Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 35 pound barbell thrusters / pullups alternating rather than just pullups. So min1 was thrusters for me, min2 was pullups... we're crazy but we still like working antagonist muscle groups. I don't think i'd like to do burpee/pullups. no. apparently we're gonna do pukey brewster on saturday. i'm already working on my sick note. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 burpee/pullups Sickness. That sounds F-ing awesome. Do y'all Crossfitters actually do those? Quote
NYC007 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 yeah those and like on Sundays WOD jumping pullups. Quote
billcoe Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Wow, that site is pretty thick with purity. I mean that in a good way. Quote
layton Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Carolyn Parker's endorsement does it for me. I've climbed with her a few times. I remember one time we went to the climbing gym for four hours solid, then we went to the weight room for another two. I could barely use my turnsignal i was so wasted. She is one cool lady. Her husband is the angry elf. I'd like to know Twight, he seems like a very interesting person. Quote
matt_warfield Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Cool site and impressive accomplishments. I just wish they listed how many pushups they can do. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Wow, that site is pretty thick with purity. I mean that in a good way. Thick with Mark Twight's immeasurably enormous ego is more like it. "I do my pushups 3/32 of an inch closer to the floor than you! Worship at my stinky feet while I demonstrate my flawless squat technique, you flabby peasants!" Quote
dt_3pin Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I clip bolts that are 3/32 of an inch apart. Worship at my stinky feet while I demonstrate my flawless hangdog techniques, you flabby peasants!" Quote
matt_warfield Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Ego? The following is from the site discussing getting in contact: ------------------- Whoever said "there are no stupid questions" was wrong. We are not interested in helping beginners, the indolent, or the ignorant. This is a serious place, for serious people..... Finally, posting a few respectable workout times is not a sound basis for a membership petition. Potential members must "stand on the porch" because what you can do is unimportant compared to your character. Words, goals, experience and commitment may unlock the door. If you send a message be prepared for a clear, honest and perhaps abrupt answer. ----------------- Quote

What a bunch of juvenile, dick-measuring wankery. Quote
