Jens Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 It's cool that the 900 crag is seeing more crampon action than just from me and my buddies over the years. I took the rotting access fund poster down from the tree last year and relaminated it. I haven't got around to rehanging it yet.
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 8, 2005 Author Posted December 8, 2005 Can't make it tomorrow, have unavoidable work that I won't be able to do any other time Have fun though and I should see you next week! I'm going to have to make the same excuse for not being there tonight, work is going to require a full day today. I'm going to try to make the Avalanche lecture at FF tonight though, but can't get out to climb. Should not be a problem next week though, and I'm going to try to get some this weekend. Sorry Alex:(
Alex Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 thats ok, i have other plans as well, see you dawgs later
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 Looks like the weather is going to be relatively decent this week. Is everyone (or anyone for that matter) willing to do the trudge up to the crag again Thursday night?
RocNoggin Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 does anyone have any strap-on crampons and ice tools that I could borrow?
selkirk Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Should be at least 4 tools to pass around and I've got strap ons that i've been climbing in.
RocNoggin Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I would love to join you then, when and where?
dbb Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 when is the next climb night? I bouldered up on that crack to the right last time I was there. I put my tool behind that loose looking flake on the left and sure enough it flexed an inch or so! Looks cool, thanks for cleaning it Alex.
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) Sounds like there's some good interest in going out this week. So, again here are the details: Meet at 3:00pm on Thursday night Dec 15th at the Issaquah P&R between Maple Street and NW Newport Way (exit 15 off of I-90 I believe) and we'll head up from there. We usually meet in the Southeast corner near the NW Newport Way entrance and are hanging around with ice tools and packs visible. Weekend_Climberz Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 Uh what night? Edited previous post.
selkirk Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Once again a good evening was had by all! Seems there is still some loose rock around and I helped clean the left hand route by pulling off a rather nice horn near the top. I have a feeling the freeze/thaw cycle going on is loosening stuff up a bit! Definitely time to look into the other lines on the crag though.
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 Yes it was!! Plan for now is to skip a week and then have another get together on December 29th. Hope to see some more faces.
Alex Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Actually I was thinking about heading out there on Thurs if it wasnt raining too bad. Post of PM if anyone else wants to go.
fenderfour Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Do you guys have room for a couple of new faces for DT'ing? CCMeter (lurker) and I had planned to do an ice roadtrip, but the weather has dashed our hopes. I have a set of monopoint G-14's and a set of Tech Wings equipped with all the neat leashless swag.
selkirk Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I'll be heading out this thursday if anyone is interested. After all I've got a grudge match with one of the routes now! I'll be running a bit later than usual though. I probably wont' get to the parking lot/crag til around 5:00.
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 28, 2005 Author Posted December 28, 2005 That sounds good to me. I've got a little bit of work to catch up on but should be able to head out in time to meet up at that time. If anyone else is interested, make sure to post a reply so that we know. Otherwise Selkirk, we can just meet up at the crag parking lot around that time. We'll see who else wants to come.
OlympicMtnBoy Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Hey I can make it this week! I wouldn't mind starting with light if anyone else wants to show up at 3. Post and let me know. :-) - OMB
selkirk Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Quick head count! There is only parking for 3 cars at the trailhead so if we have more than 3 people it may be wise to set up some carpools from the Issaquah P&R. Still planning on being their between 5:00 and 5:30 Cheers!
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Still planning on being their between 5:00 and 5:30 Same here.
OlympicMtnBoy Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Ok, if we're meeting at the P+R I'll be there around 5:15, if we're not then I need some additional directions. :-)
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 I will plan on being at the P+R around that time and we can carpool in from there. See you tonight!!
tanstaafl Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Hey I wanna go too. Exit 15 off I-90 and then look for the P&R? Do I need to bring ropes and rack or just harness/tools/poons?
