telemarker Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 This is so cool! As of 12-15... extended forecast models indicate that strengthening offshore ridging and an associated north- northwesterly flow should result in a return to further generally dry weather at slowly rising freezing levels later Monday through Wednesday of next week. telemarker Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 As of 12-17, forecast from NWAC: The 6-10 day outlook is grim for snow lovers with a dry pattern indicated through Christmas. What more need be said? Quote
specialed Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 So ... NOAA says freezing levels for the next couple days are supposed to be between 7000 and 10000 ft, even at night. Yet right now its 30 at Stevens Pass and temps aren't supposed to get much warmer down low in the next couple days. Anyone have any ideas about this contradiction. Quote
Dru Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Like I said above, the forecast is so suck. Quote
pete_a Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 looks like a typical temperature inversion...at stevens pass the temp is right around freezing, but a thousand feet higher the telemetry sites show a temp that is in the mid to upper 40's. I'm probably being overly optimistic but I'm hoping to find some corn on high south facing aspects this weekend. Quote
specialed Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Yeah. I just got some beta that its 50 degrees at Paradise right now and the snow is nice corn. So you might be in luck. Have fun. Quote
