jon Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I've FINALLY upgraded the photo gallery software. Please respond to this thread if you find any problems. Werd. Quote
iain Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 didn't get rid of the bouldering photos though Quote
Off_White Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Is there a link to bring one back to the forums and I'm just missing it? Quote
jon Posted September 7, 2004 Author Posted September 7, 2004 Still need to fix the template, header, and footer, but otherwise everything seems to working fine. Quote
John Frieh Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 What is the difference between "most active" and "most popular"? Quote
Alpinfox Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Most active is rated on # of views Most popular is rated on # of "thumbs up" Quote
John Frieh Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Then why have a sort by "most views" option then? Quote
Alpinfox Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 OK, I was wrong. I think "Most Active" means the most recently viewed or commented on, but then how is that different from "Latest". I give up. Quote
Squid Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 How does one navigate back to the boards from the photos? Quote
Pandora Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 How does one navigate back to the boards from the photos? A link would be a good addition. I always end up trimming the URL back to www.cascadeclimbers.com to return to the main board. Quote
Squid Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I always end up trimming the URL back to www.cascadeclimbers.com to return to the main board. Now I feel silly.. I guess I didn't have to unplug the computer each time. Quote
Dru Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Did you know you can right click on the main page and "Add This Page to Favorites" Quote
ashw_justin Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 or right click on the "back" button to get a list. Quote
jon Posted September 22, 2004 Author Posted September 22, 2004 I still need to fix the headers and footer for the page. I have a HUGE favor to ask of people. Somewhere along the line, and I'm not sure when, somehow our configuration got screwed up and people were able to upload files larger than we wanted. There are some files that are as large as 2 megs, which just isn't necessary. Could everyone that has absurdly large files please edit them to a smaller size. I'm trying to figure out how to do this in a batch job but I'm not sure how this is going to work out. Thanks! Quote
jmace Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 how do I post a full size image in a post it does not work like it used to? I can not right click the larger photo to see its properties to place it in the image box. I can only do this with a thumbnail. Thanks Jesse Quote
billcoe Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Jon: in case anyone forgot to say it out loud: just remember they are all thinking the same thing. I speak for everyone here, even those of us who just take it all for granted without thinking: Thank you. Quote

klenke Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I'm also having the same problem but have been able to get around it in the following complex fashion: 1. On the specific gallery page where the image in question is shown, I go to View --> Source (in IE) and the source code pops up. 2. I do a search within the pop up Word Pad for ".jpg" which leads the cursor to the image name--the one used to link to in a post. 3. I highlight the URL and transfer it to the post. Quote
klenke Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 That it does. Interesting. (My complex way still works, though, if any of you wants to take a long path through a dark wood.) Quote
Pandora Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I really dig the 'Random Images' section! I've seen a lot of cool photos I would have otherwise missed out on. Quote
cracked Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I really dig the 'Random Images' section! I've seen a lot of cool photos I would have otherwise missed out on. I still can't believe that someone on a dial-up views the photo gallery. Quote
