cracked
It's no worse than the runouts at Darrington. Or the fright-fests at Smith (eg upper part of Heinous Cling).
Squid
I dunno about that. That looks like pre-goldline, bowline-around-the-waist-Gaston Rebuffat sort of pic. Different set of consequences than bolts and dynamic ropes.
cracked
I meant the original pic...
Distel32
but the falls on heinous are clean like a virgin. falls on that slab are definitely another story. Would you rather tumble down the slab or have the virgin fall?
Squid
Oooh, me! I'd like to have the virgin fall! Me, me! Edited April 1, 2004 by Squid

Alpinfox
Did someone say "highball"??? Ingredients: Whiskey and Ginger Ale. Directions: Mix in a tall glass with ice.
daler
Should be clean!!! Long ago I took the Full Heinous Ride- falling right at the anchors and somehow got my foot caught in the rope. I fell the full upper pitch- 60 feet or so! stopping below the first set of anchors. 9 stitches and a couple of beers later I was back in the grasslands chillin!!! RuMR
Nice, dale ! I broke my teef gritting down so hard on my first try, just didn't want to peel and climbed myself into a box...wound up peeling for about the same ride that you took...it took over a year before i tried it again...hahahahahaha...definitely worth it to not cheat and figure it out on tr!
