I've got an old picture from the 1800's of a group of women in long dresses on the Mer de Glace with alpenstocks. It is on the wall next to my grandmother's old alpenstock and wooden pack frame (climing in my family goes back a few generations), plus some old pins from my dad and his wood and rawhide snowshoes.

Picture of the West Buttress Route on Denali, antique wooden-stock ice axe from an auction in Mexico, picture of me looking like a dork (not hard) with Cayambe in the background.

I'm planning on adding an antique crampon and some old pitons and ice screws to my wall. Haven't quite figured out how to hang them.

Looking around my desk I have the "Extreme Rock Climbing" Game, Picture of the grand staircase on Mt Whitney, a picture looking up Crimson Crysilys (sp?) at red rocks, a Rocak and Ice issue and a taped together TOPO map of the North Cascades. A Picture of the Climbing wall and Topo can be seen at:

In my office: A photo of the honey, a couple of rocks I've picked up in different places, a summit shot after El Cap with a couple of friends, a tracing of the climber carving from the lower gorge at Smith. A friend did it and put it in a nice frame for me. The funny thing is that I work for the prosecutor's office, so eveybody thinks its some kind of weird outline from a crime scene.

Some corporate art piece that my landlord is very proud of, a picture of my grandfather that was taken by Ansel Adams, a diploma, a picture of Mt. Shuksan and Nooksack Tower from the NE, and a picture of the W. Buttress of South Houser that was taken from near the base of the route. I also have an old 1/4" x 3/4" bolt sitting on my windowsill, along with a miniature "Hattie's Hat" from their grand opening a few years back.

.)Just wondering what you geeks have hanging on your cubicle/office/whereveryouwork wall

That black and white poster of Peter Croft doing a straightarmhang/heelhook rest while leading the roof on the Rostrum.

A pic of me hanging from the lip of the roof on the Zipper.

The mechanical pig races that my students won by cheating when we gutted the motor and gears from the pig and strapped a high pressure water rocket to it's back. (We graciously declined the first place award.)

2 pics of my wife 3 of my daughter, a big thomas bro's map some certificates of knowlege I printed off of the internet (i don't even know where MIT is) and one little humble pic of me leaning on my pack in my camo gators and danner hiking boots on the top of Rainer. [geek] Oh yeah, and some old wooden level I found inside an old wall I was tearing out.

In my home office I got the ever famous aerial image of Rainier from the North, you know the rectangular pano one like they got at VW.

Downstairs I got another image of Rainier from the Carbon River moraine near Mystic Lake, a blown up image of Dragontail by Freya Lake by Bob Bolton, and another image of my wife at Pikers Peak on Adams. Now in the hallway we have the 2 of us on the summit of Shasta, and then a shot of the Ingraham Direct route on Rainier as well. Surprised I got no images of Pilchuck? Me too.One of my favorites is a 4 panel frame with different images of Rainier, with my favorite one taken by Phil Fortier of the Carbon Glacier. I am not sure how, but I saw it as a desktop image on a friends computer as well, who barely know how to get on the internet.

I swear Phil, you need to sell that one, it is so awesome.

I don't have an office, but I work out my barracks room. So I tell what is up in there: big wall map of Rainier, poster of Everest's West Ridge, Mallrats poster, and my favorite a Winter Backcountry User warning sign I "found" in Alta Ski Resort, UT. I'm the odd one, because I don't have any porn or pictures of Brittney Spears hanging on my wall.
