dalius Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 We just did it at the ZOO 2 weeks ago. How about something we haven't done in a while, eh? Â What about Hale's Brewpub on Leary? Hell, I believe that they even let minors in and those that are hungry can get some good grub. It's probably pretty quiet there on Tues. and they've got homebrew galore. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted April 21, 2003 Author Posted April 21, 2003 NEVER BEEN TO HALES, LET'S DO IT! Quote
chucK Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 from their webpage Hale's Pub is open seven days a week Sunday - Thursday 11 AM - 10 PM Friday & Saturday 11 AM - 12 AM Â Quote
icegirl Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 So what is wrong with 10pm???? Tuesday is in fact a school night... I see nothing wrong with it... Â Those who want to keep drinking can move to another venue after Hales... Â Quote
chucK Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 Some people like to stay later than 10pm. That is what is wrong with it. Duh! Quote
hikerwa Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 How about the Monastery in Pheonix.... Â Oh, wait...I'll be the only one there... Â But it sure is sunny! Quote
mattp Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 We could go to Hales with the understanding that "after hours" we'll head accross the street, to the Ballard Grill and Alehouse. Everybody wins, no? Quote
dalius Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 So... what about the Big Time Alehouse, that brewpub on 43rd & University? I doubt they close at 10. It's a good place for groups. They have food to munch on. Quote

Everybody wins, no? Â I agree Matt. Hales then Ballard Alehouse. The under 21ers left last time before 10 to study so they shouldn't be bummed if the rest of us carry on after 10 at a different locale. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted April 22, 2003 Author Posted April 22, 2003 Hales is non smoking for those who care, you can deal with you nic fit at the Balard Ale House later. Quote
dalius Posted April 22, 2003 Posted April 22, 2003 Ah... Smoking and Drinking... Â Bridwell, doin' it up in style! Quote
allison Posted April 22, 2003 Posted April 22, 2003 The Zoo has no food and the parking can be oh so suck. Plus we just had one there. Â Hale's is an overpriced yuppy fuck fuck crappy fern bar, which is not the kind of place I want to spend my hard-earned cash. Love the kids, but not gonna work hard to have an all-ages PC all that often. Plus at least one of them is out of town. Â The Ballard Alehouse sounds pretty okay to me. Quote
AlpineK Posted April 22, 2003 Posted April 22, 2003 For future reference the Big Time Brewery is full of stinky hippies that love The Greatfull Dead and that shitty wanna be dead band The String Cheese Incident. The last time I was at the Big Time I pissed off one of the bar tenders by making fun of the SCI. Â Fuck the Big Time And fuck that stinky fucking oil that I can never remember how to spell but hippies love. Â I'm willing to go to Hales, but it is an overpriced yuppy fuck fuck place. Don't say you weren't warned. At least the Ballard Ale House is across the street. Â Quote
