philfort Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 It's the route up the weakness on the right side. My guess is the guy is under the big roof thing. The std rap route is on the left skyline. Quote
mattp Posted January 29, 2003 Author Posted January 29, 2003 Still no progress on Dru's pictures? Â Meanwhile, another easy one: Â Â Quote
plexus Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 but my partner is goofing around and i think a little bit off-route. Yup it looks like he is off route, it looks like he's too far left on the second pitch. On the way down, from that climb, I had to speed rappel and scream at a couple of that were investigating our packs. Â that tries to steal my !!! Quote

actually he's a little to the left on the third pitch, but maybe you could run them together. what's with people rapping the nw face? i thought every rapped the north face where you jump off a ledge on two manky little homemade hangers. Dru Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Matt Perkins, let me know if its too tough and you need a hint!!!  The first one is North of Pemberton, and the second one is north of Chilliwack Quote
Dustin_B Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Can anyone identify the route? Extra points for identifying the climbers because I have no idea who they are. Â Â MattP, that would be Chris W (belaying) and Toast on Midway. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Identify the mystery route! Â Â Oh, so difficult! Quote

bobinc Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 First real pitch on Direct E Butt of SEWS? Quote
Dru Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Identify the mystery route!  Oh, so difficult!  its a little action figure glued onto a boulder right!!! Quote
jordop Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Dru's picture while not technically the Bendor Range seems to be in the immediate vicinity, probably Piebiter way, east from Crazy. Â The second one could be the south face of Viennese? But maybe also something like Barr or Isolillock way. Â I'll put up a good one when I get home from work in an hour Quote
mattp Posted January 29, 2003 Author Posted January 29, 2003 Correct you are, Bobinc. And that is the Safety Man with the grin on his face. Quote
bobinc Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Great route! Please enlighten me on the everyday ID of the SM. Quote
mattp Posted January 29, 2003 Author Posted January 29, 2003 Mark Hanna. He has not yet to get beyond "lurker" status on this board. He's kind of sensitive, so be nice and don't flame him whenver he posts, OK? Quote
Dru Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 Jordan 1) wrong again!!! You should be able to tell from the shadows, that the view, wherever it is, is looking South so it cannot be "east to piebiter". Also Piebiter is not granite and everything in the photo is granite. Â 2) How can it be s face of Viennese, when (here is a clue) it is only about 100m high????? Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted January 29, 2003 Posted January 29, 2003 dfa: something bolted at smith  You're very close! Nice work! Quote
