1. Trask is irrelevant. Resistance is futile. kevbone will be assimilated.
2. Thriller Pillar Direct, Royal Columns. Leaves you wondering for a long time at the exit move above the roof, until you finally flail or figure it out. To borrow pope's phrase, repeats are kinderspiel.
3. using "Kurt" as the search object, in subject only, newer than 1 year, returns a plethora of results. I give you the original thread as a starting place... The search function is such a wonderful thing. I'm extremely glad to hear that Kurt has reached this phase of his recovery. One of our mountain rescue unit members suffered a similar accident two years ago (header from the top of a 20-foot ladder), and when they finally put his hunk o' head back in, he was back in the mountains within a few weeks after that. Go get 'em, Kurt!
4. вы hmmm, need to reset my font selection to Cyrilic...
5. Yup Am I the only one to notice the true genuis and irony of foraker's post, linking his re-direct back to the OP, but changing the suffix to read "foxnews.com" (hover your cursor over his link)? True genius, I say.
6. Dirty Harry used a S&W M 29 "Uh uh uh! I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" Love that scene. I actually had a Ruger .44 magnum Super Blackhawk for a time. Fine weapon, that was. Sold it to buy climbing gear.
7. And she bills herself as a philanthropist... pfffft!

got MILF?

Hell, if I was 15, I wouldn't need any convincing to hit that. from the article: So who's doin' who here...?
9. Everybody seems to have missed "So I Married an Axe Murderer"... WTF?
10. Where in the hell is that shot from, John?
11. Wow, and I thought I was anal!! You can set your compass to within tenths of degrees? I can't even walk that straight. Seriously, you could probably take a look at any of a dozen sites that sell USGS topo maps, select the "preview map" feature or something similar, scroll to the bottom of the map, and get your information from the compass rose there. Just a thought...
12. Now that's good beta. Thanks for getting involved, alex.
13. Sweet! Way to go, SC! Thanks for clearing that up. I'll give that a try.

Jelly Bellies

Kinda lets you know where their collective thinking lies, doesn't it?
15. I have been "bull horned" off the crags, most notably Martian Tower (Butter Brickle) and Martian Slab (upper routes), on more than one occasion by LEO. Never got a ticket... yet. So in that case, bwrts's comments about choosing less visible crags might have been wise. By choosing less visible routes, like those on GCT or Dinousaur Tower, the ranger/deputy would have to hike in and find you to tell you to leave, and by then, he may be mad enough at you (after having to actually get out of his truck and walk a bit) that he would probably ticket you.
16. wait for it...
17. Everybody knows that it's spelled S-A-M-B-U-C-C-A
18. You're always just right there, ain'cha? Lurkin' under the surface like a 'gator, just waiting to reach out and snap up sumpin'...
19. were you calling him an abstract painting or attempting a racial slur? i think the pejorative for polish folks only has one "l" One "l" is correct, but there is only one "o", and no "c". As one who would know, it's spelled "Polak". Thank you.
20. Related Ford Sportka ad... pigeons beware...
21. I say po-tay-to, you say po-tah-to. Let's call the whole thing off...
22. Am I missing something here? It was my understanding that we (climbers) purchased that sand castle with our donations/dues to the Access Fund, and the AF's legal efforts in that regard, back in 1991 or so. We then "gave" the area to the WA State Parks Department, not as land in fee simple for them to own and operate it as a revenue-generating State Park, but for them to "manage" it for us, since the AF, as a 501c3 corporation, couldn't do it for themselves. It would seem that now the WA State Parks has decided it belongs to them, to operate when and how they see fit... andyf, any comment here?
23. Not really. My liner notes indicate that he wrote most of the lyrics, but collaborated on Young Lust, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell (with Gilmour), and The Trial (with Ezrin). The album was produced by Waters, Gilmour, and Ezrin. Just noticed where Toni Tennille (can you say "Captain and Tennille"?) was one of the backing vocal voices.
24. WHEN THE TIGERS BROKE FREE Pink Floyd 1982 Lyrics/Music: Waters Albums: When the Tigers Broke Free (single, 1982) Echoes The Final Cut (2004 remaster) Film/Video: Pink Floyd - The Wall It was just before dawn one miserable morning in black forty-four when the forward commander was told to sit tight when asked that his men be withdrawn And the generals gave thanks as the other ranks held back the enemy tanks - for a while And then the Anzio beachhead was held for the price of a few hundred ordinary lives And kind old King George sent mother a note when he heard that father was gone It was, I recall, in the form of a scroll with golden leaf and all And I found it one day in a drawer of old photographs hidden away And my eyes still grow damp to remember His Majesty signed with his own rubber stamp It was dark all around There was frost in the ground When the tigers broke free And noone survived from the Royal Fusiliers Company C They were all left behind Most of them dead The rest of them dying And that's how the High Command took my Daddy from me Lyrics Copyright: Pink Floyd Music Publishers Ltd.
25. Mike, I just answered my own question from above... From the Pink Floyd HyperBase: emphasis added by sobo link My CD of The Final Cut is from waaaaaaaaaaaaay before 2004. More like 1983. Guess I'll have to buy it again...
