    McCain

Powell, when he was National Security Advisor, essentially endorsed Iraq's use of WMD. He, and all the others, are pieces of shit.

    McCain

Powell isn't all he is made out to be. While he was National Security Advisor, he did not come down hard on Dummy's pal Sadam for using the chemical weapons we gave him access to.
  3. Do you want to be critical of a local store, or of a former employer??? Your motives are clearly suspect.
  4. MattP, Where did you get that picture of "Goddamn Bob Vaughn" at Castle?
  5. You guys make it sound like you have to be tough to climb at Peshastin. Fuck an A. Nirvana ridge and Lightning cracks are fine routes.
  6. Hey AlpineK: There still are some bad ass Norwegian Gang Bangers who know where you and that little fucking piece of shit renter live. WQe are going to fuck you up.
  7. Wide crack masters: Dave Davis, Cal Folsum, and the late Dave Anderson.

    Screw U Sumas 2

The natural gas for both SE1 and SE2 comes from Canada. When SE1 was built, there were signs all over southern BC against it. I truly think that since the death of Darrel Jones, SE2 will not be built, although those Haskell raskells keep trying
  10. Thank god I'm here, to clear up these fucking mis-statements by these ambulance chasers. Dru obviously knows that his picture is a photo of flex seal-tite. He is making a joke, duh. I used to do alot of ice climbing, and EMT was used for rapell anchors only. They were cheap. Screws and snargs, and warthogs have been around for ever. MSR screws were very good, and were available prior to 1975. You hardly ever (in fact I never have) seen aluminum conduit. There are three "ridgid" "metalic" conduiuts Ridgid galvenized sch 40 pipe IMC Intermediate Metalic Conduit not commonly used EMT Electrical Metalic Conduit wall thickness less than 1/16 inch, same sizing scheme as copper water tube.
  11. Dave: I'm sure that you will want some place that will allow Capt. Cavemans dog.
  12. Stories about Rolfing, boy do I have them. Where to start? Yakima River '85? The Valley ? Alaska? Nepal? Pig Rigging? Rolf can cause - or- end many a problem. Lets just say that he is one bad ass son of a bitch.
  13. I can't tell which one I have. Can a person have them both at the same time? Am I a goner? As long as AlpineK is happy, I guess it is all worth it.
  14. That goddamn AlpineK told me there was going to be a party at his house, the gals from "Women in Climbing", Cracker, Dave Schuldt, AK, and my self were going to have a good time. No one showed except AK, me, and a calander. He sent me into the crawl space with some pipe and a saw-zall, telling me to look for babes in there. I didn't get lucky, but I got some good spooge on me, and AlpineK got rid of his leaky sewer pipe.
  15. Alpinek said I did it in five, and scored higher than you!
  16. Will not the tree mearly grow around the sling? Lets ask AlpineK!!!
  17. A recent book dealing with this is "1000 years for revenge", by Peter Lance. The Bush Admin (Part 1) handed info on WTC plots (Part 1) to the Clinton Admin. The FBI was too concerned with interdepartmental fighting and turf wars with the NY JTTC, the CIA, DIA, Dept. of State, and DSA. This was clearly a preventable action, especially (in my view) of our actions in Afghanistan. In 1985, while Gorb. was looking for a Soviet exit this mess, Bil Casey reportedly said "we will bleed those bastards dry". American aid then increased to upwards of $180 million from app. $34 million in '83; and the USSR , deprived of a exit with grace, increased their presence. Lots of innocent people died in NYC, East Africa, and S. Asia because of this sequence of events. On the other side of the coin, the question needs to be asked if these events where a worthy price to pay for the dissolution of the USSR, and the escalations of the cold war? I am undecided.
  18. My points: 1) This does not belong in spray goddamn it! This is fricking science! 2) Warren Hamilton attributed late Mesozoic metamorphism and ductile deformation to erosionally caused isotasy in the Sonoran Detachment terrane in a 1981 paper. So I would say that this idea even pre-dates Dru's refered source.

    ICE

Sea ice refers to frozen seawater, such as one would find at the North Pole proper. Pack ice is a misnomer, but in this instance would probably refer to a ice body formed in large part by glacial flow (calving). The majority on Antarctic ice in of fresh water derivation.
  20. Excellent and infomative trip report! Nothing to apologize for! It is poorly written and unduly creatively puffed up TR that AK and I are against.
  21. That Matt guy only talks about the fourth pitch (third aid pitch). The first aid pitch is good, and the second has some hard hooking with a ledge fall potential. Above the seem the pitch to the roof did not have any particulary bad rock. The roof is a mind blower, and kinda loose. Above are lots of bolts and rivets, on a very steep headwall. It took Doug Klewin and I three bivies in somewhat bad weather In fact we thought we would have to down-nail the roof and bail. Such are my 21 year old memories. PM me your address, and I will mail you a topo.
  22. My good buddy AlpineK is in the King County Jail, awaiting extradition to Central Oregon. He badly needs a lawyer and bail money. A team of Terrebones finest, led by CI Dick Pumpington, hauled AlpineK off last night. He is charged with one count of "Assisting in the impersonation of a climber", and one count of "conspirosy to commit the same". He has been offered a plea deal, but has refused, stating "I ratted rat in '91, and I'm still paying for that". The authorities are trying to break AlpineK in their search for a CC crime moll. If anyone knows who this cad is, please contact the Terrebone Joint Task Force, or PM Dick Pumpington. Thank You for helping our friend. He is as much a victim as any of us!
  23. Let me reply to myself: I was wrong to state that Bob Cotter wrote the worst piece of tripe in recent history. That feat went to an excerpt of a Pat Ament book published by Climbing in Spring 1996. Bob Cotter's work, especially "Tomoesque" (CAJ 1992 {or91}), was mearly the most pathetic. As one can deduce from the title, this article DRIPPED with his ego, and his attempts to gain sponsorships. He devoted an entire paragraph to all his gear (including his day-glo head band!), listing each by manufacturer and item name. He didn't just wack in a pin, but placed a Black Diamond knifeblade, followed by a Simond knifeblade higher. Pathetic. As far as AlpenTom's point; I am smart enough to scan and not read. I almost always do not read TR because they are too long. I like Colins writings, and feel that given the types of climbs he does, he could write a longer article and get them published in a real mag. Rat, Wayne, DP, and several others write good short to the point TR's. Dwayner, and especially Pope are just plain funny! And AlpenTom disagreeing with me certainly doesn't qualify as "picking". I am more than capable of debating anyone here (except Caveman, rat, Ak, and Dru). Spindrift was obviously written by an aspiring author, and he should know that while his work is promising, he needs to do ALOT more writing, and even more editing to become good.
  24. Fuck you Ditto Dildo; Answer the fucking question you bike fruit.
