I'm Providing Chiropractic Care for PDX Climbers
layton replied to layton's topic in Oregon Cascades
I'm only gonna be around 3 more weeks, so now would be the time! I really want to help the climbers out there with any acute or chronic issues you've been dealing with. I want to give something to the portland climbing community, and this is the best way I can right now! See you there! -
bummer. check out lymphatic drainage massage. I think Kat's mom does that.
-
cool! let's hear about it. are they noticeable from a distance..i.e. just how stupid do they look. I hear from a VERY reliable source (famous podiatrist) that plain old Crocs are one of the best running shoes out there!

If your tips are calloused, yes, soaking them in water for long periods of time will soften the callouses and degrade them. As far as affecting your climbing ability, no. That's just someone with a problem known as "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder," trying to persuade you with his fear mongery.

Finger numb & bruised... what's wrong?

Sorry, I don't know anyone is Seattle yet. But she should see someone sooner than later so there is no residual effect for her climbing and music. -

Any low back surgery success stories???
layton replied to kweb's topic in Fitness and Nutrition Forum
you've got stenosis? Sorry, didn't catch that part. A lot of stenosis patients benifit from increasing their lumbar range of motion, and decreasig inflammation. Sometimes there's just enough room to not cause symptoms if the spine is moving correctly (if one segment isn't moving like it should, it's like a kink in a straw) and inflammed tissues take up more space (there a lots of tissues surrounding the spinal cord). But if that doesn't work...well I guess surgery is the only option. Sounds like a pretty complicated/involved surgery. Good luck! -

I've never really taken much stock in heavily advirtised techniques or gizmos, but the DRX9000 spinal decompression system is getting REALLY good results with disc patients. If I were you, I'd seriously consider it. Just accept the marketing B.S. as part of the price I guess. I took a ride on it today and was like, "shit, sign me up"...and I don't like signing up for much. -
Matt, I agree, but it's worth a try. Some people are profoundly affected by it. It doesn't cost that much and is worth a shot if you think it will help you.

Gay Giraffe How do you know a giraffe is gay? It's dick tastes like shit. You can lead a giraffe to anus, but you can't make it toss your salad. Pediphile gay giraffe

Yeah, but you seem to not like a lot of alpine climbs you've posted about here, or seriously downplayed them.
-
Thanks John, it was fun hanging out with you too.

Fuck those guys, it's fun as hell. As for conditions...you'll know when the time is right. Like the amulet you were born wearing.

i'm not commited to living or working anywhere, which is why I'm asking. It's hard to find a job and house that match in a city you don't currently live in. I'm commuting to seattle 1-3x/week to talk to doctors after school. That's a shitty commute!
-
I'm looking for jobs in Seattle, and they don't all line up w/where I'd like to live. Any feedback on exactly HOW shitty the commute from the Freemont,Ballardish area of seattle would be to: 1.Bellevue 2.Redmond 3.Edmunds 4.Kirkland 5.Downtown
